Following on his declaration not to leave Iraq "As long as I am president" at a press conference last week, Bush now says that New Orleans may need a decade to rebuild following it's devastation last year by Hurricane Katrina.
"Let some other president fix it. I'm not going to," Bush said at a press conference today."My duties as president extend to making sure the Republicans hold on to their power in Congress, and starting wars to enrich my wealthy campaign contributors. The most I can offer for the people of New Orleans is a tax cut for it's wealthiest residents."
"If I had to fix every problem in this dang country, I'd never have anytime to go fishing with my daddy, or clear the brush from the Western White House, my ranch at Crawford."Bush then when on to state he had other things on his mind. "We're giving birth to a new middle east here, I don't have time for rebuilding America. Like withdrawin' our troops from Iran, I'll just have to leave that up to another president."
When a reporter pointed out that we have no troops in Iran, Bush replied, "Not yet."

I just can not stand to see Bush or any of his gang on TV - it's worse than some bloody, violent crime. Oh, how we need to get a majority of anti-Bush people in Congress - Plllleeeze!
Funny how he still takes credit for rebuilding what has not been rebuilt yet.

This is what happens when people put an underachieving person of low intellect in office. If they would have "listened" to the man, they would have known he didn't have what it takes to run the country.
Probably really was what he was thinking. I had the feeling that going down there yesterday was the last thing in the world he wanted to do. I don't think he cares jack shit about those people and I do think he has the same attitude about that area as he has about Iraq. He'll also leave that for the next president to deal with. He just walks around his mistakes and crimes and leaves the remains for the next guy to clean up.
Oh, my god, he's such an ass! Just such a complete buffoon. Which is probably why he's so dangerous, I guess. Of the $110 billion that was allocated to Katrina relief, $44 Billion has been disbursed. Meanwhile, we've spent over $310 billion on the War in Iraq. What is WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE?
Divajood, the answer to your (rhetoric) question might be; an unshakeable feeling of entitlement and an iron glad neo-con ideology rolled into a christian mysticism. There is also more than a hint of a mental degeneration laced with a sociopathic paranoia. One thing is for sure - many a book will be written about this nightmarish period and about the main culprits. Hopefully these raging baboons will not destroy the whole china shop in the mean while!
