Facts don't matter to some people. When they've made up their mind what to believe, no hard examination of the facts will sway them.
John McCain believes that al-Qaeda is not necessarily Sunni.
"I believe that al-Qaeda does a lot of things," John McCain said in an interview on Fox News........
Sure. they get together and have quilting bees and ice cream socials and picnics in the desert in an effort to bring understanding between the two warring factions of the Muslim religion.
McCain claims to know the situation on the ground because he's been to Iraq eight times, but his visits out side the Green Zone have been accompanied by 100 American soldiers, with three Blackhawk helicopters, and two Apache gunships overhead. I'm sure that gave him an opportunity to assess the situation on the ground. Either that, or he's full of beans, jellybeans.

Several politicians are too full of jellybeans.
Yes frederick, I have had the same problem. Stop messing with perfection already.
The media will help what McCain wants to believe about Al Qaeda to become conventional wisdom among American voters during the next six months. We won't be hearing a lot from them about the proof that what he believes is incorrect.
The Dems really need to get busy, or 1/09 through 1/13 could be about as miserable as the last 7+ years have been.
What Snave said. Democratic strategists and millions of bloggers like us need to keep getting the word out, or it'll be President McCain (aka Bush 44).
