Growing up, there was always that one kid, whose sense of entitlement made them feel they were entitled to the same things as every body else was, whether deserved it or not, or whether or not it was a good idea.
Ladies, and gentlemen, that whiny weaselly kid all grown up is ......Joe Lieberman!
China has the power to shut down its Internet, so why can't we?
Well, for starters, China is a communist country, while the US poses as some sort of a democracy. In the US, the open and free exchange of ideas is one of the many freedoms we have that make us better than say, China, where people have the freedom to work ten hour days seven days a week or be crushed by tanks!
Of course, Sen. Lieberman defends this act as a matter of national security, just like he defended the murder of an unarmed American citizen by the IDF as a security issue. So are we trust him on this? Remember what Ben Franklin said about liberty and security.
In the days before 9/11, the FBI shut down many Arab and Muslim websites. Some up to five days prior to that event. So the government already has shown it can shut down websites, even with out a just cause.
The internet is a dangerous place to those in charge these days. Just as quick as they can put out their disinformation someone else can discredit it as the fake it is. And with the US in preparation for yet another war by sending 11 ships to off the coast of Iran, they need to keep a lid on what's really going on before this administration's lies, much like the lies of the previous administration, are exposed for the falsehoods they really are.

Take The Democrats. Please.
Yesterday's special election in Massachusetts wasn't a referendum on President Obama, as much as right wing pundits would like you to believe, as much as it was the beginning of the end for the Democratic Party.
Like Kvatch, I believe that Scott Brown's win yesterday was good for the Democrats. They don't have to work towards passing any health care reform now, even with a majority in the House and the Senate because they don't know how to lead. Reading too much into yesterday's defeat, some of them are talking about extending the Bush tax cuts, once again showing the lack of disparity between the two parties. And Joe Lieberman thinks they should move more to the right.
In 2008, the Democratic Party ran on, and won the election on some fairly forward thinking ideas. Now, it turns out, they don't actually want to enact any of these ideas, because they're afraid of the opposition party, of which only 22% of Americans identify themselves with. So why are they pandering to twenty two percent of the population?
Ultimately, the election was a referendum on the stupidity of the average voter. Don't like the way Democrats are doing things? Vote for the Republican! Republicans run the country into the ground? Hmmm, who should I vote for now. It's no wonder the Teabaggers have gotten some traction. Sure they may be insane, but at least they're not the same old crap.

Return Of The Supertwolieberfaceweaselman

Joe Lieberman, never one to grandstand, or be a political oppurtunist has claimed that he has spoken "to doctors and insurance actuaries" about McCain's health, and McCain "will live to 85 at least." I don't many professional types, medical or otherwise, who would be inclined to make a prognosis with out actually seeing the patients medical records, but according to Joe they looked at his age and his health, including skin cancer, and so we can all rest easy and Thank God that Sarah Palin is not going to have to be president from day one.

The Return Of The Superlieberweasel
Back in 2006, before the hotly contested Connecticut Democratic Senate primary, when Ned Lamont was getting set to whip Joe Lieberman's tail, Lieberman's website crashed, which Lieberman blamed o the Lamont campaign. Nope.
Well, as it turns out, the Liberman campaign was to blame for crashing it's own website, according to an FBI probe into the matter. It doesn't get any more weaselly than orchestrating a false flag operation against yourself than blaming it on your opposition. It's something like crashing a jet airliner into a skyscraper you already have rigged with thermite charges to blame on someone who happens to be in a country you've been planning to invade to build a pipeline through.
So if we're going to play the "guilt-by-association" game, and hold Sen. Obama responsible for everything his pastor has said (no matter how true), then shouldn't we hold John McCain responsible for this fraudulent crime perpetrated by his shadow Joe Lieberman? At least Lieberweasel isn't a democrat anymore.
