UN? We Don't Need No Steenkin' UN!

Well, the rest of the world does. Why? Becuase there are bastard countries out there such as Israel which rejcted the UN plan to probe Flotilla raid. Of course they do. Who wouldn't want to be found guilty of violating human rights again, now do they?
But hey, the The US has never had a need for a Human Rights Council anyway, because it offers rights to all those pesky brown skinned people living over the oil. That's why neocons in the US have got the House to OK a possible Israeli raid on Iran.(With support from the US, you know, the country that was so broke it couldn't afford to provide unemployment benefits to it's people) Even though Iran poses no threat to Israel, they are calling for an illegal "pre-emptive strike" against Tehran because Israel has a right to "self-defense". That same specious argument could also be used by Iran for building the nuclear weapons that the US claims they are despite all evidence to the contrary.
So when they start burning Korans in Florida this September 11, remember that the most vile hateful and evil country on the planet is Iran Israel and the United States, because they are the only ones planning to drop bombs on possible civilian targets then hope they can bury their evil deeds at the UN.

It Would Be Better If We Paid You No Mind At All

One of the greatest problems facing our country is the fact that our foreign policy is decided on not what's best for America, but instead, on what's not best for America.
Take stark raving neocon Billy Kristol. He claims it would be better for the US to attack Iran than Israel. Better for Israel, that is. Ultimately, it would be better for no one to attack Iran, since they actually haven't been found to be doing thing which violates any law, but reasoning with a neocon is impossible, because they make their own reality, and insane people are impossible to rationalize with in any debate.
Kristol, it should be noted, was one the loudest voices calling for an attack against Iraq, but there's no use beating that dead horse. He is probably the last person anyone should listen to regard US foreign policy in the Middle East, but it doesn't stop the corporate media from putting him on anyway.
But there is a whole list of things that it would be better for America to do first.
As an example, it would be better if the US government would stop breaking it's own laws, and obey the Symington Amendment. The fact that both major parties seem to disregard this law is an apt illustration of why we need to dump them both in favor of a party that actually obeys laws instead of bowing to powerful lobbies.
It would be better if politicians ran as a friend of all Americans instead of as a friend of another country. The US should not be playing favorites with any country in the Middle east, especially one with so many UN violations against it.
It would be better for the US, already mired down in two wars-without-end, to not start a third one that will endanger more of our troops and cause the loss of more American lives. It would be better for the US not to be seen as an agressor in a region where many people already have developed a negative opinion of us. It would be better if we didn't needlessly harm more civilians tha the over one million Iraqis we have already killed in a genocide designed to calm Billy Kristol's paranoia.
The cost of the Iraq War is already three trillion dollars, another war in the region isn't going to be any cheaper. It would be better for the US if that money, on top of the $1.6 trillion in aid were reinvested in this country to rebuild our economy.
And in the end, it would be better for Mr. Kristol, wealthy publisher of The Weakly Standard and paid Fox News commentator, to buy his own fighter jet and fly it over to Iran himself. But unfortunately, Mr. Kristol hasn't met a war somebody else's kids lives couldn't be spent fighting so Mr. Kristol continue to be a drain on society by advocating US involvement in wars it would be better off not fighting.

2009:The Year Of No Change

Events of the past few weeks have only gone on to underline my underlying belief that our political system is a corporatocracy, that there is no real difference between Republicans and Democrats (although, oddly enough, I don't care for Republicans at all).
Matt Taibbi writes of how President Obama campaigned on a platform of change and reform , then replaced most of his staff with Wall St insiders once elected. No change there.
Sarah Palin praises President Obama's Peace Prize speech as something that could have been taken from the pages of her memoirs. Since Palin is an acolyte of neocon leader Bill Kristol, the man behind the Bush administration's foreign policy, once again, no change.
Defense Secretary Robert Gates said on Friday he expected the international community to impose significant additional sanctions against Iran over its nuclear program. Even though there is no evidence that Iran is seeking nuclear weapons, and has every right to seek nuclear power for peaceful purposes as a member of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, the US is still laying the ground work for some sort of military strike against Iran.Like I said, no change.

Break The Law, Win A Prize

Torture works. That is, if your goal is to attract more foreign fighters to attack US troops in Iraq (last paragraph). It's a good way to ensure that a war continues in perpetuity.

Bill Kristol, chief neocon, editor of The Weekly Standard and probable defense contractor stock holder thinks that those who torture should be given the Medal of Honor. Because there's nothing more honorable than ensuring that foreign fighters and Iraqi insurgents continue to kill American forces in Iraq than torturing people.
Torture is a war crime, which would make those who authorized war criminals. So into the moral quagmire we ask can you pardon some one for committing a crime you authorized?

Give Them Something To Think About

So Adam McKay thinks the Democrats are going to lose this thing. Typical Democrat defeatist attitude, we can't win when the odds are stacked against us. I say if you feel that way, you're probably right, self-fulfilling prophecies and all. There is a way and it's a s simple as ythis:

If Sarah Palin couldn't protect her daughter from guys who wanted to screw with her, how's she going to protect us from terrorists who want to screw with us?

The RNC spent a lot of time and flag waving reminding us all of 9/11. But what they didn't tell us was that the whole thing could have been avoided if a president, their president had been a little more vigilant. We all know about the August 6 2001 PDB delivered to President Bush. If he had done his job as Commander-In-Chief, there would have been no tragedy on that day. He allowed the terrorists to screw with us.

If Sarah Palin couldn't protect her daughter from guys who wanted to screw with her, how's she going to protect us from terrorists who want to screw with us?

Sure, teenage pregnancies happen in the best of homes and is a fairly common occurrence. Teenagers always have and always will engage in premarital intercourse, it's a fact of life. Their hormones are beyond their control at that age, and they feel they are invincible. But just like the Republicans have sent our troops to face the enemy in Afghanistan and Iraq without sufficient body armor, Sarah Palin sent her daughter into an age old battle with out adequate protection.

If Sarah Palin couldn't protect her daughter from guys who wanted to screw with her, how's she going to protect us from terrorists who want to screw with us?

Barack Obama has stated that in this campaign, families should be left out of it. And under normal circumstances, that would be fine. But we're not dealing with human beings here, we're dealing with neocons. People with no conscience, because a conscience stands in the way between doing what's right, and fulfilling an unreal agenda. People who will do anything to win, which is why they always do. And if the situations were reversed, they'd make a field of hay from it, all to serve their own program: endless tax cuts for endless profits made from endless war. And to further their plan, they need to sell us their superiority in matters of national security.

But, if Sarah Palin couldn't protect her daughter from guys who wanted to screw with her, how's she going to protect us from terrorists who want to screw with us?

So ask your friends, your family and your neighbors this question. Put it to your co-workers, acquaintances, strangers you may meet. You may not get an answer, but you're sure to start them to thinking. And once they do that, the rest will fall in place.

Phantom Of The Neocons

Here's a threat if I ever heard one-Bill Kristol has stated that Bush might bomb Iran if Obama is going to win (which he is most certainly going to do, despite "liberal" media attempts to support poor Ol' John McCain). So, if we don't vote for John McCain, we'll have war with Iran, and if we do elect McCain, we'll have war with Iran as well.
I wonder what they'd do if Nader won?

Douglas Feith Is Full Of Crap

So now we know. Douglas Feith is a chickenshit, or else just full of crap. In a segment to be aired on 60 Minutes, he claims that we invaded Iraq because we believed they were going to attack us.
Bullshit.
Feith, as co-author of A Clean Break: A New Strategy For Securing The Realm, called for removing Saddam Hussein in 1996, not because he was going to attack the United States, but because it would be good for Israel. So when Donald Rumsfeld became Secretary of Defense in 2000 he specifically hired Feith to cherry pick and stove pipe intelligence against Iraq, before there ever was a 9/11. So while the reasons given now and then, the war was launched to liberate the Iraqi people( yes, they are much freer now), destroy Iraq's weapons of mass destruction (which never existed, except in the paranoid minds of brainwashed right wing television watchers)(WMD) and to protect the United States( from a country we were already containing with no-fly zones and economic sanctions), the real reason is to protect Israel.
If there were such a thing as justice in this universe, people like Douglas Feith, and all the other neocons who lied us into the war in Iraq would be prosecuted for their crimes. Instead, they'll go on to a six-figure salary at some think-tank while the rest of us suffer under $4.00 a gallon gas, runaway inflation and all the other side effects Feith's decision to lie to the American people have caused. What a shithead!

SIBEL SAYS

Former FBI translator and whistle-blower Sibel Edmonds has released a list of photos of those she claims to have overheard in wiretapped conversations (that took place, coincidentally, before Bush's illegal wiretapping program was put in place)of selling nuclear secrets to untrustworthy allies such as Pakistan. Many of the people involved were high ranking officials within the State Department during both the Clinton and Bush administrations and include the self proclaimed prince of darkness, Richard Perle. (Also named are Pentagon OSP Douglas Feith and convicted AIPAC spy Larry Franklin)
Ms. Edmonds has been under a gag order not to speak, because what she heard America's national security would be severely impaired.
Edmonds contends that an international nuclear smuggling ring, associated with the intelligence agencies of Pakistan, Turkey, and Israel, has been permitted to operate in the U.S. with impunity. Our government, she claims, knew all about it yet, in order to placate the foreign governments involved, allowed a vast criminal enterprise to carry out its activities, including money laundering, narcotics trafficking, and espionage involving efforts to steal U.S. nuclear technology.

And, it seems, a trail leading right up to 9-11, what with Pakistan ISI head Gen Mahmoud Ahmad, the gentleman who wired $100,000 to Mohammed Atta's Dubai bank account prior to that fateful day. Add to that the news report that one Louai al-Sakka, who claims to have trained several of the 9/11 hijackers at a camp situated outside Istanbul in the resort area of the Yalova mountains, and you get the idea that something fishy was going on there. And it was going on right under the government's nose, while people within the current administration were blocking any investigation of any wrong doing. And seeing the close proximity some of these people had to the vice-president's office.........

Neocons:Truthseekers, or Raving Paranoiacs?

By now you've all read how the NIE proves Iran suspended it's nuclear weapons program in 2003. Still that hasn't deterred the neocons who feel Iran is still a danger, in spite of the report. Even presidential hopeful Rudy Ghouliani hasn't stopped banging the war drums.
How bad do they want this war? Well, leading neocon "godfather" claims the intelligence community is trying to sabotage Bush with the NIE. John Bolton, the bastion of sanity, has called for a Congressional investigation in to anti-Bush people in the intelligence community.
Hey! I got an idea! How about instead of spending time and money trying to start a war with a country that had nothing to do with 9/11, we track down the one person we know had something to do with it. I mean, if Morgan Spurlock can find Osama Bin Laden, there's no reason the US government can't find him either. Unless they don't want to find him.

Neocons Overstate The Obvious

Neocon war hawk and former defense policy board member under Donald Rumsfeld Richard "Prince of Darkness" Perle admitted Wednesday that the invasion of Iraq was an illegal act under international law. He also said he had the worse comb over and was really bald. Perle, who had to step down from his position on the advisory board because of questionable business ties still thinks the war was the right thing to do, just against the law, that's all.
Law means nothing to the neocons, neither international, nor the rights of citizens anywhere on the planet, with the US declaring it has the right to kidnap British citizens wanted in the US, not only for "extraordinary rendition", but in other cases as well.
Another PNAC member, Paul Wolfowitz, has been
offered a top position at the State Department apparently unable to hold a real job in the private sector since having had to step down from his spot at the World Bank for giving his girlfriend a raise, and not the kind in his trousers. Wolfowitz, a prime architect of the war on Iraq (and we all know how well that turned out) will be advising Secretary of State Rice on matters concerning WMD (because he knows so much about where they aren't).
Isn't it refreshing to know that instead of seeking new ideas, the current administration is looking for the same old stale ones?
