The world is imperfect. There are many problems facing mankind each day, each one, created, by mankind itself. Someday, maybe sooner, but probably later, when the Sun goes supernova, I'm sure everything on this planet will be obliterated. The point is, we all have to die sometime, and all we can do about is nothing. Live your life and try to leave some good behind.
Or.....
Or you can scan some book of fables and myths, parables designed to impart some ancient knowledge for some clue, any clue, until you create in your mind that the world will end on May 21 2011. Then you can spend your remaining days in bliss, spreading your message while trying not to appear as a total nutjob, warning people that indeed their days are numbered. But what happens on May 22?
Jesus predicted to his followers he would return in their lifetime ( Matthew 16:28) and that never happened. In fact, the list of claims of Jesus' return and end the world is fairly long. The Heaven's Gate cult is another prime example of people who believed in the end of the world. In fact, most major religions have these end-of-the-world fantasies where their people are spared the agony of death by the trueness of their belief system.
My point is this: if there are people who are willing to believe that the world will end soon, then they have no stock in dealing with the real problems facing us now. Therefore, any Christian extremist should not be elected to public office, because their belief system is based on some invisible guy in the sky scooping them up up and away from the consequences of their actions. The world belongs to the non-believers. We're certainly not the ones screwing it up.

Bring On Teh Crazy
Republicans seem to think this midterm election will be a cake walk, that they'll end up with the control of Congress, giving them ample opportunity to continue their obstructionist policies. But I don't think so. Why? Because instead of offering answers and solutions to the myriad problems facing this country, the emperor wannabes new clothes are steaming hot piles of insanity.
First up is the insanity intern and future Palin hopeful Christine O'Donnell, who was revealed to have dabbled in satanism as a teenager, by her own words forcing her to cancel her appearances on the Sunday Morning Talking Heads New Shows on CBS and even Fox. You know when a Republican cancels a chance to knock softball questions out of the park on the media arm of the GOP, something is up, and that something is teh crazy.
Next at bat in the bat-shit crazy line-up is, no, not bat-shit crazy Michelle Bachmann, but the Montana Republican party which, in a moment of pure unenlightened unenlightenment have decided to adding homosexuality as a crime to their party's platform this year. It takes some severe homophobia to want to lock gays away, where you wouldn't be tempted to want to join them. Why else put them in jail, because what two consenting adults do in the privacy of their own homes is something Republicans say that the government should stay out of, right?
And from homophobia, we cross the crazy trail to the phobia du jour of the conservative regressives-Islamophobia! Failed former House Speaker Newt Gingrich is proposing a law to ban Sharia Law's use by judges in deciding cases. First off, you should have done that when you were, you know, an actual member of congress, doofus, and not now when it does no good but stokes the fires of a thousand burning Korans. Secondly, we already have that in our constitution, it's called the Establishment Clause, and it bars any decision made based on Sharia Law, Biblical law, Judaic Law, or any other law emanating from some all powerful invisible being who doesn't exist. All this does is play into the ignorance of haters who think that Muslims are taking over the country, and that our president is one of them. And that is the Republican plan. No policies. No solutions. Just pure unadulterated hate. And not a hate based on reality, but an unfounded hate based on insecurity. That is pure paranoia. Which is nothin' but teh crazy!

Republicans Reflect Anti-American Ideals
When the crazy Israeli serial stabber was nabbed last week trying to flee to his homeland, something happened. Nothing. There were no protests outside Synagogues, there were no people lumping together all people of the Jewish faith/race (I'm not really sure which is correct) as hateful racist murderers. Which is good, because I'm not sure if Elias Abuelazam was a practicing Jew, or just an Israeli national, and anyway, it's totally wrong to condemn an entire group for the wrongdoings of one of it's members, isn't it?
Well, not really, if you're a fear mongering Republican. which is a redundancy, I know, but now the GOP plans to make the plan for a Islamic cultural center at Ground Zero a campaign issue . Those dirty Mooslems along with darker skinned Democratic politicians wish to impose Sharia Law in the US. Unless the Republicans stop them, they'll use their cultural center to impregnate wimmen and force them to squeeze out an army of terror babies! As Republicans and Tea Baggers protest Mosques across the country, it's ironic to note that the group responsible for referring to President Obama as a fascist is adhering pretty closely to many of the 14 characteristics of fascism. So, like the US did to Japanese-Americans during WWII, and like Hitler did to the Jewish people of Europe, the GOP is scapegoating the Muslims of America.
Now, just so you know, I believe all religions are as nutty as the next, from Judaism, to Christianity, to Islam and Scientology. They all wish to impose their will upon us, and the differences between their wills are minuscule at best. By singling out one belief system for persecution, aren't you in fact establishing another as the true faith, which in turn, is unconstitutional? And if you are opposed to the constitution of the United States, don't you stand against this very country itself?
But it's not like they have any real issues to run on. Tax cuts, deregulation and deficit spending on wars helped destroy our economy. They all supported the wars, so they can't run against those. Fear mongering is all the Republicans have, and if they keep the television watchers frightened enough, they'll be too scared to rationalize the truth. And that is the GOP is opposed to America, or at least the part that isn't white Christian conservative and straight.

Muslims Are Sleazbags; Only Christians And Jews Are Beautiful
I'm not a big fan of beauty pageants, I find them tiresome and demeaning and generally a waste of a good evening. I especially don't care for any pageant that's part of the Donald Trump Media Empire. But mostly, I'm unimpressed with the parade of blonde hair blue eyed bulimics.
That's why I was happy to hear that this year's winner, Rima Faikh has got those durned Islamophobes up in arms. Being that Miss Faikh is a Muslim, Debbie Schlussel, a butter faced, bleached blond Conservative, has imagined all kinds of links between Ms. Faikh and Hezbollah and even called her a sleazebag. Another site says this is the next step in Islamization of America, and only those who believe in Israel should win. Thankfully, people's prejudices can now extend to such trivial things as beauty pageants. Way to go, you've politicized somehting else completely pointless!
Miss Faikh, who is a naturalized American citizen of Lebanese descent, has the same family name as some members of Hezbollah, therefore she should not win the contest, even though she is unbelievably hot. She should be disqualified because she makes some racist right wingers uncomfortable with the whole idea of America as a melting pot. You know, the same wipes who think that President Obama is a Kenyan-born secret fascist Muslim. I say good for the judges of this pageant for looking beyond the same bland blond bitches we've been seeing for years.

See, I Can Be As Specious As You, Mr Limpballs
It takes a special person to know what God wants, because God wants whatever that special person wants, ironically. Like the good Reverend Fred Phelps. Because God, and Fred, hates fags, that means that US soldiers die in Iraq (instead of being impervious to enemy bullets and bombs). The reasoning may specious, but when your followers are thick headed and dull, you can get them to believe anything.
And that's where religion comes from. In ancient times, any natural disaster could be attributed to a god that was in sync with whatever tribal leaders wanted. This tradition still carries on to this day among the faithful, with the damage inflicted on New Orleans by Hurricane Katrina being explained by the Holiest of a-holes Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell blaming it on god's displeasure with the annual gay pride celebration taking place there. (Of course, when a tornado rips through a trailer park in the Bible Belt, these same people remain silent.) Of course, science has come along to explain why most of these occur, which is why the faithful revile science, because it shows them up as the dopes they are.
Natural disasters and such have always been harbingers of doom. Comets, for instance, have always foretold end times from Halley's Comet to the Heaven's Gate mass suicide to join the spacecraft following the Hale-Bopp comet. Earthquakes, such as the recent Haitian one, were attributed to a deity displeased with the locals consorting with devils hundreds of years ago. Even the recent eruption of Eyjafjallajokull in Iceland is now seen by some as a sign of the end times.
Following in that same ancient grand tradition of high priests attributing disasters to behavior displeasing to them, Rush Limbaugh, he of the Holy Viagra and Vicodin, High Priest of The Party of NO, has proclaimed the volcanic ash cloud from that same eruption as God's punishment for Health Care Reform. Who knew? God wants us all to get sick and die, the sooner we can join him in Heaven. Darn those Democrats for impeding the will of god!! (One could be just as specious and claim it was because the reform lacked any kind of public option) And now, the infamous doctor shopper will find it harder to break the law to get his prescription fix, I'm sure, and that's why his god is angry.
The volcanic ash has prevented President Obama from flying to Poland to attend that country's president's funeral. because, I guess, god doesn't want a Muslim attending a Christian burial service. In fact, all flights over Europe have been canceled, which is actually good for us, since most terrorists flying into this country depart from over there, thereby making us safer from further terrorists attacks. Thank you Democratic Party, and thank you President Obama for protecting this country.

It's clear The Adults Have Abandoned The Republicans
It's official. In the nearly four hundred years that this country has been settled by Puritans, nothing has really changed at all. back then, they saw witches everywhere, now, the poor put upon and persecuted Christians see Muslims everywhere.
Now we have these paranoiacs, who obviously only remember the part of the Bill of Rights that allows them to keep weapons to shoot each other with, have forgotten that whole freedom of religion thing. I don't give a fuck if President Obama is a Muslim (which, he's not)because our country is not based on any theological practice (although there are those who would like to see it that way). like the Nazis who saw signs of Judaism everywhere, the conservatives of the US are seeing signs of Islam, or wanting to see it, everywhere.
I swear, sometimes our whole political process has been taken over by a bunch of third graders. Republicans criticize Democrats, liberals hate conservatives and nobody notices that for the better part of the last century into this one, both parties have been running things. And with the exception of a few Jewish candidates here and there, for the most part, they have all been Christian. And what or where has that got us? Mired down in two never ending wars, rampant unemployment hidden by government figures, on the brink of a global depression, global warming, etc. All this polarized petty partisan bickering isn't solving anything. There's nothing civil about any of it. It's just name calling and blame throwing.
And I'm just sick of it all.

Gullibility Illustrated
Jesus has given us many things. The brightly colored eggs and jellybeans of Easter. The bright lights on evergreen trees surrounded by colorfully wrapped presents of Christmas.
But he has also brought us more wonderous things. Burning heretics at the stake. Institutionalized pedophilia. Kirk Cameron.
And, of course, the Rapture. The Rapture is an interpretation of the Bible by dispensationalists who feel that certain things must happen in order for Christians to be lifted up to the Heavens (good riddance) and the rest of the world to live in peace, but is never mentioned in the Bible. It's a secret Rapture only the truly saved (read:brainwashed) know about.
How brainwashed? Well, watch this video of a prank played on one unsuspecting and trusting soul, and you will understand that just because dispensationalists believe in war, hate and killing, doesn't mean that they don't have a sense of humor.
Ha! Funny or what?

The Philosophical Disparity Between Glenn Beck And Reality
Today at work, I was told by a customer that if I did not offer a fish entree tomorrow, I was going to Hell.
Sure, I thought, right after I visit the Merry Old Land of Oz.
For centuries the church has been a source of brainwashing of it's followers, from "don't eat meat on Friday during Lent" to "don't vote for a homosexual baby killer Democrat". It's worked because, as George Carlin once said, once you get people to believe in an invisible man in the sky, you can get them to believe anything. As long as it's approved by by Glenn Beck.
So if your church begins to preach the teachings of Jesus Christ, you know love thy neighbors, and all that crap that Christians rarely take to heart, "run as fast as you can. Social justice and economic justice, they are code words. Now, am I advising people to leave their church? Yes!". (Don't worry, Glenn. Your magic underwear will protect you from thoughts of social and economic justice.)
Now we see the rights plans laid bare: they oppose justice in any form. The social programming language of capitalist authoritarianism seeks to activate personal greed, intellectual insecurity and visceral racism as motivators of guided popular political reaction. So even though the basis for Christianity is kindness and sharing, if your pastor mentions social or economic justice, he's a commie. Or a Nazi. All you really need to know, beyond the philosophical disparity between the two, is Glenn Beck has done the thinking for you, and has decided that they're both really bad. And besides, those people who call for economic and social justice are, you know, those people. And if those people are in your church, better run as fast as you can, because there is no difference between, say, the Lutherans and the Baptists. Really.

The New American Terrorist or Keep Your Bible Out Of My Ass Unless You Want To Get Shit On It
In the days following 9/11, the country was together like never before in history. United We Stand stickers decorated vehicles from the lowliest rusting Honda to the mightiest gas sucking Hummer. We were as one.
We were united against a common enemy, terrorists who would use violence and intimidation against civilians in order to impose their limited religious views on them. These people hated us, we were told, because we were free.
Welcome to Amarillo.
In Amarillo, there's a new brand of terrorists, cowards who bully people who have chosen to enjoy the freedoms granted to them by the (once) greatest country that has ever existed. Under the guise of Christian Patriotism they harass and intimidate those with whom they do not agree. Gays. "Swingers". Environmentalists. Liberals. People who celebrate Halloween. Pornography shops.
Yes, the people of Amarillo are being terrorized by Repent Amarillo, a self proclaimed "Army of God" who enjoy dressing up like soldiers and using intimidation tactics against their fellow Americans, instead of becoming real soldiers and fighting America's real enemies, the Muslim heathens who attacked us on 9/11. Or, if they didn't attack us, practice a form of the religion of those that did. They have become even more evil than Liz Cheney, if that's possible.
And so now a country once united has become divided into hate groups: people who use their bible as reinforcement for their phobic beliefs of groups they do not understand, people who love to drop bombs on people with belief systems different than theirs but don't want to pay the taxes to fund the bombings, and the the Republican Party. They have destroyed this country much better than alQaeda could have ever dreamed of doing.

An Unbrainwashed Primer On Hate Groups

See Bill Donohue.
He is president of the Catholic League.
He likes to condemn things.
He condemns movies and television shows that might cause his followers to think.
He condemns advertising that relays messages that he doesn't agree with.
He condemns the use of condoms.
Condemn, condemn, condemn.
Recently, he condemned the meeting of officials from the Justice and Health and Human Services departments with representatives of the Secular Coalition for America, an umbrella group that includes American Atheists and the Council for Secular Humanism.
He denounced them as a 'hate group'.
A definition of 'condemn' is " to pronounce judgment against, to sentence". In other words, to hate.
Oddly enough, Mr. Donohue has never condemned pedophiliac priests. Because his bible says, 'judge not, lest ye be judged'.

See Fred Phelps.
He is the pastor at the Westboro Baptist Church.
He has a direct connection to his god.
His god tells him to hate things.
He protests funerals of gay people.
He protests funerals of soldiers fallen in the war in Iraq.
Reverend Phelps claims that his god is the Christian god of love.
Someday, Fred will die.
No one will protest his funeral.

See Council Nedd.
He is the leader of In God We Trust, an organization dedicated to protecting America's religious heritage.
Like the Salem witch trials, the Boston Martyrs, and the KKK.
Council Nedd describes the Secular Coalition for America as "some of the most hate-filled, anti-religious groups in the nation".
He must not think that the biggest number of hate groups in the nation derive from the Christian Right.
Poor Old Nedd.

This is Marion "Pat"Robertson.
A Christian leader, "Pat" is one of the most hate filled leaders in Christianity.
He denounces other religions as "demonic".
He openly calls for murder of other country's leaders.
He claims a hate crime bill is "noose around the neck of Christians".
He has claimed that Hurricane Katrina was a punishment by god for America's alleged sins.
He has stated that gay marriage will lead to bestiality.
He blames the earthquake in Haiti on a pact with the devil.
He has slammed Muslims as worse than Nazis.
In short, he is one of the most hate filled men in charge of one of the most hated filled religions and has met directly with presidents, then lied about what was said at such meetings.
Atheists have never called to bomb a sovereign nation as our elected Christians have done.
Atheists would never condemn a minority for not having the same belief system as they.
Atheists have never justified killing in the name of some unseen deity.
No, atheists have never advocated killing anyone for any reason.
Maybe that is why their voice has been kept out of the White House for 234 years. And look where that got us.

Christiansanity Is A Seriously Flawed Belief System
Interesting.
It seems that anti-abortion activists are angry with Scott Roeder's conviction for murder in the execution of Dr. George Tiller. Maybe it's the life sentence they don't like, perhaps they feel the death penalty is more in order, since their Bible demands "an eye for an eye". After all, Roeder freely admitted to assassinating Dr. Tiller, so there is no question of guilt.
Well, except the Christiansane feel that the cold blooded murder of an abortion provider is justified to protect the lives of little tiny babies. Following that same spurious logic, wouldn't it be perfectly alright to gun down The Rev. Donald Spitz? After all, he condones the murder of abortion doctors by the likes of Roeder and Paul Hill, so in order to prevent more assassinations, wouldn't his murder be justified?
Americans are free to cling to any whacked out belief system they wish, from Scientology to Evangelical Christiansanity, it's when you cross the line and force that belief system on to other people that you become a criminal. If you don't like abortions, don't get one. Work hard to allow our education system to promote sex education and birth control to prevent unwanted pregnancies. That seems like a sane response to the problem, but the problem is that not only are these people ignorant to all they do not read in the Bible, but they're Christiansane as well. They all possess the dead eyes of soulless zombies. And their belief system is based on a mythology better suited to less enlightened times, when an invisible guy in the sky was the answer to all of life's mysteries, and scientists were burned at the stake as witches.

Specious Reasoning In The New American Babylon
I find it interesting (and even a little bit racist) that Pat Robertson blames the earthquake in Haiti on a curse due to that country's 'pact with the devil'. The global warming climate change cult wonders if global warming had something to do with it. Next, Dick Cheney will blame the Obama administration's lack of desire to label WWIII as "the war on terror", while the Teabaggers will blame it on excessive taxes and intrusive government programs.
Me, I noticed this happened right after Sarah Palin began her position as a contributor to Fox News.........

President Obama Wants To Make Me Gay!
Of all the powers afforded the president by the Constitution, I didn't realize this was in there but apparently according to the Family Research Council, President Obama will impose homosexuality and silence Christianity. I realize he had the power to impose martial law, but homosexuality?
While the upside to this is I might get laid more often, or find a life partner I can share a wardrobe with, the downside is YOU CAN'T MAKE SOMEONE BE SOMETHING THEY ARE NOT!!!!
I have always found the Religious Right's homophobia to be a leetle bit suspect. Why fear queers when you can just say no? Unless you can't resist.
Now, if the 'anointed one' has this kind of power, I just wish he'd use it to make me slimmer, but if he can make you gay, well, then you'd better bow down to him now, because it looks like he's already started.

'Untrammeled homosexuality can take over and destroy a social system. If you isolate sexuality as something solely for one's own personal amusement, and all you want is the most satisfying orgasm you can get - and that is what homosexuality seems to be - then homosexuality seems too powerful to resist. The evidence is that men do a better job on men and women on women, if all you are looking for is orgasm .... It's pure sexuality. It's almost like pure heroin. It's such a rush. . . . Marital sex tends toward the boring end. Generally, it doesn't deliver the kind of sheer sexual pleasure that homosexual sex does.'" Satan Is Better Than Jesus
Why, you may ask, and I will tell you.
Studies have proved that intercessory prayer doesn't work, that in fact, God and Jesus either don't have all the magic powers that their followers claim they do, or they really don't give a fuck about humans.
However, Halloween candy prayed over by witches are chock full of demons. So if God/Jesus can't do anything about the demon filled candy offered for free to good little Christian children, they must not be as powerful combined as Satan is on his own.
And if Satan is more powerful than God/Jesus, using the same system used to determine which football team is better than another by virtue of number of victories incurred during a season, that means that Satan is better than Jesus.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I feel compelled to dress up as The Dude and mooch Milk Duds from my neighbors.......

Conservapedia Presents: The Ten Commandments-Revisited
In yesterday's post, there was a story about how Conservapedia was planning on deleting the "liberal" bias from the Bible. But why stop there? As you'll see, they seem to pick and choose which commandments to follow as well.

It's Not In The Bible Anymore
Does the Bible have a liberal bias? Of course it does, which is why the nice folks at Conservapedia have decided to delete the liberal bias from the Bible. No more of the love shit for them, now it's just going to be fire and brimstone and the wrath of God. That'll make for some exciting reading for them.
But why stop there? Why not make the Innkeeper a free market entrepreneur who was well within his rights to make those moochers Mary and Joseph sleep in the stable. Or portray Judas as having a keen business sense and as being loyal patriot for betraying Jesus for a few pieces of silver? There's a lot of Jewish people in the Bible, couldn't an anti-Semite just delete them all, and make Jesus a nice Christian boy who grew up worshipping himself?
It would appear that the wonderful Christians over at Conservapedia don't love Jesus as much as they hate "liberals", which I believe puts them squarely in violation of the whole "Thou Shalt Not Have Any Other Gods Besides Me" commandment. These twisted souls have shown how utterly useless their Bible is by changing the word of their God to fit their belief system, as opposed to changing their behavior to fit the word of their God. But, you would expect as much from the same people who changed the Constitution to allow torture, illegal wiretaps and indefinite incarcerations.

How To End The "Stealth Jihad"
I think I was vaguely aware of this but once again, to reiterate, the Muslims are taking over the country! They have one of their own, a secret Muslim fascist communist socialist, as president, and now they're taking over everything else. I know they took over a dollar store down the street, and possibly a corner gas station.
Do I sound paranoid? Probably, but not as paranoid as one Canyon Clowdus, a candidate for congress from Texas (of course! All the wing nuts with funny names are from Texas). Mr Clowdus feels we are experiencing a "creeping sharia" and a "stealth jihad" in this country, and so he wants to bar any more Muslim immigrants from entering this country. Sure, we can stop more from entering the country, but what to do to protect our country from being overrun by this whole "creeping sharia" thing?
What we need is a law, some sort of Constitutional amendment, that would provide for the prevention of establishing laws based on one's own personal beliefs. That would certainly halt the stealth jihad we as Americans are experiencing right now. Of course, that would mean that Mr. Clowdus wouldn't be able to put his God back in government either, but it's all a small price to pay to protect us from the creeping sharia we are experiencing now, wouldn't it? Besides, I don't believe there ever was a time when there was a "God" in our government.

Religion Is The Work Of The Devil
Face it, Americans keep getting stupider every day. Many different reasons are given for the source of this problem: teacher's unions, Fox News, "reality" television, global warming climate change, or too much emphasis on sports. However, the true culprit for the stupidefication of America is religion.
Consider this: Florida students were sent home from school for wearing tee shirts emblazoned with the message Islam is of the Devil. There's true Christianazi tolerance for ya. The shirts were produced by a local church called the Dove World Outreach Center. The pastor, Terry Jones (no, not that one) says that the "message is more important than education".
Well, it certainly can't be Jesus' message, because Islam was founded well after the death of Jesus, so then whose message is it? My guess would be with one Pastor Jones, who for whatever reason, decided that children need to be indoctrinated to his vile and contemptible ideas more than they need to learn how to spell, add, read or identify Palestine on a world map (It's right there, underneath Israel). It's easy to understand why Pastor Jones feels his message is more important than learnin'- once people learn they become able to think for themselves and therefore become less likely to toss their hard earned change into the Dove World Outreach Center collection plate, making it all the more impossible for Pastor Jones to reach out to more of the world and shake them down for their hard earned bread so he may live like a king and spread his hate to all the gullible television watchers too fat from constant snacking to get their fat asses of the couch and attend a real church where, maybe, just maybe, fear and hatred won't be used to shakedown stupid, fat and ugly people who pray to an invisible man in the sky.
But who is really doing the Devil's work here? Pastor Jones message spreads hate which leads to fear. Soon, it becomes acceptable for us to drop bombs on people just because they are of a different religion, which plays in to the hands of the military security complex, who use this as an excuse to continue to drop tax payer funded bombs on more innocent people to clear the way for Big Oil to commandeer all that luscious black gold underneath their feet.
America has become stupider because it's main religion has been taken over by fear-mongers who want to further their message of intolerance against not only other religions, but gays, medical workers, scientists, teachers, and anyone else who doesn't see the world through their myopic telescope. And since they do all this hate in the name of God, the fact that these people haven't been strciken down is all the proof I need that no God does exist.

Mental Fundy Christiansanity-The Missing Link
Many people are jumping ship on the conservative movement within the Republican party, and I can understand why. The mental fundies are making it confusingly difficult to stay on message as they bat at straw men and scapegoat everything that doesn't fit in their strict and narrow nomenclature.
Take our current economic woes. A sane and intelligent person could say they were caused by the loss of our manufacturing base coupled with dubious banking procedures by an unregulated industry. But in the mental fundies eyes, there are three completely different reasons for the current economic crisis: Gays, Porn, and Abortion. Their God is upset with America, you see, and they feel it necessary to pass an "Oklahoma Citizen’s Proclamation for Morality" in order to curry His favor and get America rolling again.
Then there's the other school of non-thought put forth by the owners of the "Creation Museum" which states that all our troubles were caused by a "moral relativism" that came about when America embraced evolution. Never mind that America's greatest period of growth and equitable prosperity came at a time when evolution was taught as scientific fact, and since some Americans rejected that theory, our country has entered a period of decline-these people say it's true because their big book of fairy tales says so, therefore, it must be or their whole lives have been built upon a lie. But why stop there? Why not just say that our country really went down the tubes when we rejected God's mode of transportation, and replaced it with the Horseless Carriage? The only certainty in all this is that our real problems will never go away as long as we have people who elect representatives like this.

Has Your God Failed You Or Have You Failed Your God?
In the days preceding the election, we were treated to many of the Christiansane, praying to their Lord to protect America from the ravenous traitor-Marxist-Socialist-Secretly Islamic-terrorist buddy. Even the VP for the GOP got in to the act by "putting this into God's hands that the right thing will be done on the end of the day on November 4."
She then proceeded to display her God of Love (or love of God) by bearing false witness against her opponent, coveting power, and turning the American flag into a graven image.
How'd that work out for you?
Liddy Dole, wife of Bob, ultimate Washington power couple and the first people who spring to mind when someone mentions good church goin' folk, smeared her Sunday school teacher opponent as "Godless".
That was a good idea.
For years we have listened to the least Christian of people spew their venomous hate towards fellow Americans for not loving their country enough, loving people of the same gender too much, and declared anyone who didn't contort to fit their narrow definition of "freedom and liberty" as an "enemy".
And now, after putting this election in God's hands, they have rejected the answer that God has given them, "You are all wrong", and embraced even more fear mongering and hate. How very Christian of them.
That they keep trying the same vitriolic methods and expect a different result is the very definition of insane.
