Who Gassed The Puppy?

Somewhere, some place at some time someone is manufacturing some evidence designed to trick the American people in to supporting an invasion in some Middle Eastern country at some time in the not too distant future. We were fed so much disinformation that was manufactured in the run up to the invasion of Iraq, that I'm sure that some of it was forgotten by the majority of Americans with attention deficit order from spending too much time in front of the television. One question that you should ask yourself is, who gassed the puppy?
You remember that cute little puppy, gassed on video tape and used as proof that Saddam had and/or was testing chemical weapons? Since we now know that Saddam had no chemical weapon program, than you must ask yourself, who gassed the puppy? Was it the CIA, who then passed it on to the White House, or was it the Mossad, who then passed it on to Larry Franklin, Israeli spy in the Office of Special Plans in the Pentagon, who then passed the information to the White House, in exchange for secret information that was then sent back to Israel? Was it Michael Ledeen, accused by the Italian government of forging stolen Niger documents that were cited by the Bush administration of Saddam's intent on starting a nuclear weapons program?
The question one should ask themselves is who benefits? Cui bono? Did the American people benefit from the invasion of Iraq? Did we get cheap oil? A sense of security from smiting a tyrant who was no more of a threat to our country than the Taliban? Did we gain any important information about WMD from the Abu Ghraib detainees we tortured to death?Did the Iraqi people gain anything after losing much of their potable water and reliable electricity? How about the citizens of Fallujah, victims of a chemical weapon attack with banned chemical weapons (including napalm) used by the United States?
But whoever gassed the puppy is not done. There are more wars to be fought and the Bush administration is willing to spread the lies to send our troops to kill and die in these wars. The Korporate media, several owned by defense contractors looking to line their pockets. There are those who are spinning the US around and pointing at Iran. The US will not benefit at all from this war and stands to lose much more as both Russia and China have pledged support with Iran as it seeks to acquire nuclear power capabilities.
And then there is Syria. Linked to the assassination of former Syrian minister Hariri by one Zuhir Ibn Mohamed Said Saddik, a convicted swindler who bragged that his testimony to UN commission investigator Detlev Mehlis made him "a millionaire". Given that Hariri had stepped down from his post in protest of Syria's influence over the government in Damascus, what would Syria have to gain in assassinating him? Who gassed the puppy?
Then we get to the Jordanian Hotel bombing. We are led to believe that this was carried out by a suicide bomber with ordinants strapped across his chest and the convenient confession of his wife after photos surfaced showing the damage coming from the suspended ceiling above the room, while no traces of what would have been a suicide bomber splattered against the wall. That the Palestinian head of intelligence plus several other Palestinian officials just happened to be there when it went off, coincidentally so were several Chinese defense officials have nothing to do with early reports that Israelis at the Hotel were giving a warning to evacuate before the bombs when off (much the same as Binyahmin Netanyahu had received advance notice of the London 7/7 terror bombing and been told to stay in his Hotel room, not to mention employees of Israeli owned Odigo receiving instant messages two hours before the planes crashed in to the Twin Towers on 9/11). Who gassed the puppy?
Clearly there is something amiss in the Congress when they vote 403 to 3 to continue the mission in Iraq ( a mission the idiot president said was accomplished on May 02, 2003, almost three years ago) while the majority of Americans, with the exception of a few beer swilling brain damaged monkeys, say we should be pulling out. Veterans who actually served in battle are called cowards by politicians who voted against assistance programs for the disadvantaged while voting themselves a $3,100 raise. The people in the Bush administration who support the war are the same people who took military deferments to stay out of VietNam and now have no family members fighting in Iraq, as do neither side of the aisles in Congress. And, to ensure their re-election, will gladly send even more American troops to die in Syria and Iran while the media runs flag waving graphics behind stories based on manufactured evidence. But don't you want to know, who gassed the puppy?

Dick The Dictator

The other day, Dick(head) Cheney made perhaps one of the first true statements of his Vice-presidency. "The administration did not manufacture evidence to trick the country into war." And he's right. According to the Italian government, it was Michael Ledeen who forged the Niger documents that said Saddam was trying to purchase uranium. And it was Israeli spy and Pentagon OSP head Larry Franklin who passed most of the questionably manufactured evidence on to the administration that they used, knowing, one would hope, that it was falsified.
Mr. Cheney seems to have acquired an unusual place in the government. Although he is only vice-president, he seems to have placed himself above the law. First there were his secret energy meetings, which he fought to keep secret and what little was disclosed following a lawsuit by Judicial Watch was maps of Iraqi and Saudi Arabian oilfields.
Now, he feels he does not have to follow the law and disclose all the places he travelled on the taxpayer's dime! I know he raised a stink locally when he visited former Republican party chairman Pete Secchia to attend his birthday party, the overtime pay that went for all the police and deputies who had to cover every driveway, sidestreet and overpass was in excess of $46,000, which was eventually paid by Mr. Secchia, but who paid for the use of the secret service, the plane that flew him here and home? We'll never know because Mr. Cheney is unique to vice-presidents, he seems to have even more power than the president.
But what really qualifies Dick as a dictator is his undying battle to allow the US to use torture. I mean, wasn't that what made Saddam such a bad dictator in the first place, was that he tortured his people? And he is also the reason there seems to be a reluctance to impeaching Bush. Can you imagine who much we'd all be screwed if that bastard ever became president?
In the words of the doctor at Dick's hurricane Katrina photo op, "Go fuck yourself, Mr. Cheney."

Is It Time For The Right Wing Dirty Trick Squad?

In a recent GOP memo another terrorist attack on US soil is touted by party insiders as a way to salvage the parties falling political fortunes. Some insiders see this as a way to unite the people behind the president and his policies in Iraq. Other suggestions include an economic turnaround (good luck) or successful termination of the war in Iraq (not a victory).
Last Tuesday's elections have proved that the GOP can no longer ram it's reactionary agenda down America's throat. Bush's appearance at a late Monday rally for the Republican gubernatorial candidate put him down three points in a race that was neck and neck prior to that appearance.
Looking at the media today, you can see the ramp up to beginnings of war in Syria and Iran. A report on a pipeline that could be built from Iraq through Syria to the port of Haifa in Israel in order to get the oil to the petroleum addicted American people is just another paving stone on to the road to war with Syria. Another is the alleged assassination of Lebanese ex-minister Hairiri by Syria. That Israel is the main benefactor of both events isn't even mentioned. It is also Israel who is pushing for the invasion of Iran, who is seeking to build a nuclear power plant with help from the Russians. Another terrorist attack would help along that agenda as well.
In the days preceeding 9/11, Bush's numbers were incredibly low as word of stolen elections spread throughout the country (but not by the mainstream media, who barely reported the fact that Gore won Florida). The country was divided by those who felt that Bush was instated in a judicial coup and Bush supporters who felt that we should just move on. After that tragedy, Bush's numbers went up higher than any other sitting president had the luxury to enjoy, and he used it to push a reactionary agenda through the congress, including the Patriot Act, which in fact had been composed the terror attacks.
There are those who feel that 9/11 was in fact a "false flag" operation, carried out by the Mossad, or the Mossad/CIA, others feel that it was allowed to happen, that a neocon within the Bush administration looking for a "new Pearl Harbor" gave the stand down order to NORAD that allowed three planes to fly over the most heavily guarded airspace with impunity. There are those who don't believe in "conspiracy theories" who fail to acknowledge that the official government story on 9/11 is in fact, a conspiracy. The Valerie Plame scandal, is in fact, another government conspiracy, called Plame-gate by some, in honor of that other government conspiracy, Watergate, the latter two connected by the involvement of the Republican dirty trick squad.
Would the ditry trick squad allow another terrorist attack on US soil? Given the fact that Karl Rove sent Bush to Virginia against the wishes of others within the party, they might. They are too myopic to see that the damage to Bush would be devastating, given the passage of the Patriot Act, the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and the torture of detainees were all designed to make us safer at home. We are fighting them over there so we don't have to fight them over here is the call of the dwindling war supporters. These are the soulless brain damaged monkeys who support the use of torture and have little regard for human life outside the realm of the ruling elite. "Pat" Robertson has sworn God's vengeance on Dover PA for voting out the school board members who wanted to introduce intelligent design (a/k/a creationism), and Bill O'Reilly has wished for an attack on the city of San Francisco for banning recruiters at local schools. Bothn of these are American cities, populated with American citizens, some of whom did not vote with the majority. But as we have seen in Fallujah, even those who don't support the "evil" that surrounds them are punished.
The GOP is desparate. The 2006 elections are right around the corner and they stand to lose control of the House as well as the Senate. Many of these opportunists, such as Rick Santorum, who cozied up to Bush when his numbers were high, are now distancing themselves from Bush. The only thing that could possibly save Bush is the capture of Osama Bin Laden, or the proof of his death , which could be quite an embarassment as he must have spoke from the grave in October 2004 when he threw his support behind Kerry. Or was that the dirty trick squad again?

Does Marion "Pat" Robertson Have White Phosphorous

My evenings generally go like this. I get home from my second job, turn on the computer, make a little dinner then go on line to find out what's happening in the world. My home page is SBC/Yahoo by default and they have four stories that they rotate, mostly celebrity bullshit, with one or two outrageous comments made by the imbeciles on the right. One day, for instance, it was Bush's "We do not torture" statement, and that will set me off, so I go to What Really Happened to see what is really going on in the world then it's off to my dashboard to create a post.
Tonight, I read the outrageous statement by Marion "Pat" Robertson about God striking down the good people of Dover PA who decided they didn't need a bunch of right wing nuts imposing their narrow world view on the students of that town. Then, of course, i went to whatreallyhappened to trace the evolution of the Jordan Hotel Bombing, which started out being reported as a bomb hidden in the ceiling to becoming a story about a suicide bomber. Isreali citizens at the Hotel getting advanced warnings to evacuate before the bombs went off to stories about them evacuating after the bombs went off. You, the truth, followed by the spin. There was also several links to the Italian video about Fallujah, plus other stories of interest, you know, how Bush and Cheney and Rumsfeld want to be able to torture people, or the secret Republican memo that stated another "terrorist attack" will hep them retain Congress in 2006 (so wait for it, as they also need an excuse to nuke Iran and invade Syria).
After that, I read my emails, just two nice notes form Greenlilly including one directing me to the Daily Kos and a wondeful picture of a small Iraqi child whose skin had been melted off by the White Phosphorous used in Fallujah. And all this information started me to thinking.
What if "Pat" Robertson had white phosphorous? Would he hesistate to rain down on the good citizens of Dover and claim it was God's will? Why is he more outraged by democracy than he is about genocide? Or torture? Is Mr. Robertson a citizen of Dover? Why doesn't he just mind his own fucking business (or businesses, as he owns quite a few, making him millions from donations given by the gullible to the 700 Club)? Of course, the Fallujah story is being ignored by the Korporate media, which means it's about time for Ol' Lew to write a letter to the local paper with a link to the story like I had to do when I wrote them a letter about the Downing Street memo because the editor hadn't heard of it. Such is the sorry state of professional journalism today. Which is why I get my news from the internet.

Two Words:Haw-Haw

Back in the last decade of the last millenium, Republicans were so desparate to gain political power that they decided to initiate term limits in hopes of ridding the state government of electable Democrats. Which was successful, except then they had a problem, their electable candidates would lose their seats as well. What to do?
Harold Voorhees (R-Wyoming) came up with a good plan. After his two terms were up, his wife would run for his seat, serve her two terms, then their son would run, turning his district in to his own little fiefdom. But after being out of politics for awhile, Ol' Harold decided he needed the perks, power and prestige that come from holding public office, so he decided to run for Mayor of Wyoming, as a Republican.
A little background is in order here. Wyoming is in Kent County, one of only two counties in the whole state to go for Bush in 2004. As long as I can remember, there has not been a Democratic represenative from this district. So Harold probably thought he was a shoo-in.
Wrong!
Mr. Voorhees lost, not only to a Democrat, but a Democratic woman! Pro-choice people won seats on the Grand Rapids City Commission. All across the country, the fallout from the disaster of the Bush administration's corruptness and incompetence is starting to turn people away from the republican party and only instituting more electronic voting can save them. Arnold's four measures in California failed to pass, two Democrats won Governor's seats and this was an off year election! 2006 is only a year away and it looks like Bush is getting ready to start another war (or two).
But he won't be able to sell it with out media co-operation. And the Korporate media has issued mea culpas for unknowingly (they claim) helping the Bush administration to sell the lies for Iraq. And you wonder what the American people will think when they find out about the chemical weapons we used in Fallujah, if the media decides to report on it honestly (I'm not holding my breath) instead of acting like the shills they did in the build up to the (illegal) Iraq invasion and put out the "officail government story" which is always a bunch of horseshit.
In the meantime I think of Ol' Harold having to go out and get a real job (good luck, old man) and two words spring to mind: Haw-haw!
Nelson Muntz couldn't have said it better himself.

Post Number 100: Who's the Bigger Idiot?

Well, I was going to post a story here about how the US, in it's infinite cruelty, bombed the city of Fallujah with phosphorous, which is akin to the chemical weapons that Bush claimed Saddam had ready to use (which he didn't), and how the story is getting out all over the rest of the world but the US "liberal" media seems to be ignoring it, much the same way they ignored the rest of the world when they printed the administration's claims that Saddam had WMD, as well as ties to al Qeada and links to 9/11. Phosphorous is an illegal weapon (much the same as the invasion of Iraq was an illegal action) which melts human skin and bones on contact. Our wonderful leaders killed one reporter who was filming at the time and jailed another in an attempt to prevent the story from getting out.
But no, I gotta do another post about torture for it seems that the moron in the White Hosue made the bold statement the other day "We do not torture!" Either he's drunk, an idiot, both, or thinks the American people are too stupid to figure out that because Dick (head) Cheney is fighting a bill going through Congress sponsored by John McCain that prohibits torture by US forces (I guess the War Crimes Act of 1996 isn't enough) that they must enjoy the use of torture. Of course, the Republican controlled senate is too busy looking into how the story got out that we were actually using torture to actually go after the guys who authorized it.
So instead of doing a post about the Avian Flu, and those Tamiflu shots (which don't stop the spread but merely help with the systems) that Bush is advocating are made by a company(Gilead) whose majority stockholder is, wait for it, Donald Rumsfeld, and how he's safe from any lawsuit due to adverse side affects thanks to, yep, the Republican Party, I have to do another post about the secret torture prisons that are so bad, the International Red Cross can't visit them. Hell, even the Nazis and the Commies let the Red Cross in. There's something to think about the next time you jump into your Sport Utility Behemoth and drive down to the corner grocery to buy a six pack to watch football with, how many Iraqis were vaporized or tortured so you didn't have to trade that SUB in for a more fuel efficient car or even get off your fat American ass and use your legs and walk the four blocks there yourself. That makes you the idiot that George W Bush (and even myself) think you are.

The Consumer Fed War Machine

I just came back from the Clusterfuck Nation Chronicles where Mr Kunstler lays the blame for the war on all of us. We all want that nice home in the suburbs, away from the exaggerated crime in the city. We've all mortgaged our future for easy oil and the belief that the supply is endless. And one truth that Bush has spoken, this war is about the American way life and preserving it in all it's foolishness.
So unless you're willing to give up that commute in the pack of metal lemmings solitarily driving in the same direction with all the other gadgets and gizmos that keep us isolated from each other, unless you're willing to stop supporting the box stores and strip malls selling cheap crap made by slave labor in China that you just can't seem to live with out so badly that you took out a second mortgage to finance it, you are in fact supporting the war. But nobody wants to be unfashionable and we all need that sense of superiority knowing that no one of questionable ethnicity lives more than ten miles away from us, because as much as we pretend to be open minded about that sort of thing, deep down we know that they frighten us and God knows, we have enough things in this world that we can't control to scare the shit out of us, we don't need that big black guy in front of the grocery store living next door.
Yes, this war is the only way we can continue the drivethru culture, one where we never have to leave our car, not even to watch a dvd or have a meal, and the only way to end it is to stop supporting the twentyfour hour media disinformation culture that feeds the war machine. Unfortunately, too many of us are addicted to convenience that we have no idea how to survive with out the useless pointless and soon to be obsolete consumerist society that we have become.

No More Cheap Oil

On May O2, 2002, George W Bush flew on to the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln emboldened with a banner reading "Mission: Accomplished". Twenty days later, on May 22, he sealed the deal by signing an executive order decreeing all future Iraqi oil sales were to be conducted in dollars as opposed to the euro.
You see, Saddam, in November of 2000, decided he was going to sell the oil in his country for euros, not dollars. What that meant to the US is that we could no longer print up as many dollars as we needed to purchase his oil, but had to buy euros to make oil transactions. Which means our dollars had to be worth something, since we went of the gold standard in 1972. We have nothing to export, all our hard goods are made in China or some third world country.
So defense contractors, such as Westinghouse (which owns CBS) and General Electric (which owns NBC) were given lots of money for munitions to blow the fuck out of Iraq. Shock and Awe. Then billions went to Dick Cheney's company Halliburton to rebuild the country we just blew the piss out of. All of these companies are big Republican party donors.
Now it came to reward W's oil company buddies. And boy have they been rewarded. One oil behemoth just posted record profits for this last quarter. This means that when they jacked up oil prices following the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, that they hadn't paid more money for the oil, they knew that they had the American idiot over an oil barrel and could pretty much charge whatever they wanted with out impunity as their man was in the White House and you just know he's not going to do anything about it. Yes, because we have to drive anywhere we need to go, we must bend over and grab our ankles while they supply the petroleum jelly.
Sen. Bill Frist has said he plans to look into this, but my cynical mind thinks that his response is just a deflection from charges against him. It probably is just a shakedown attempt designed to fill Republican coffers for the coming 2006 elections.

United States: Violent Extremists

In recent speeches, President Bush has compared terorists to Hitler and Stalin. Of course, only the truly brainwashed or brain damaged monkeys would believe this, for if you really do some comparisons, you'd see that George Bush has turned the United States in to a hybrid version of Nazi Germany and Stalinist Russia.
In 1939, Hitler proclaimed that Poland, a vastly inferior army to the Nazi war machine, was planning on invading Germany. The SS has staged a phony invasion using twelve prisoners from Buchenwald dressed in Polish Army Uniforms. This was all the excuse he needed to strike at Poland before they struck at Germany. In the build up to the Iraqi war, the Bush administration, using forged documents acquired from Italy under very questionable circumstances through the OSP to state that Saddam had a nuclear weapon program and could strike at us in forty five minutes. He stated that Saddam had ties to alqeada and had links to 9/11. All this was false information that Bush used to justify a pre-emptive strike, which is illegal under international law, making The Unuited States more like Nazi Germany than those regimes it seeks to change.
In 1937, following three years of purges designed to rid Russia of all perceived enemies, Josef Stalin made torture the official and usual means of extracting confessions. Many times people confessed to crimes they did not commit to stop the torture, other times family members were tortured as suspects watched. Sometimes they were tortured to death. This is why, during the Cold War, the Soviet Union was perceived as the "Evil Empire" by the US, as none of these people were granted due process such as we are privilige to in the United States.
The United States now has entered into the same area for which we condemned Communist Russia as the use of torture has become the official policy of the Bush Administration, not only violating the 14th amendment, but the
War Crimes Act of 1996 as well. This essentially makes those in the Bush Administration who advocate it, as well as those who implement it, war criminals, subject to life imprisonment.
The United States has always held itself up as the model of democracy for the world. The rule of law is a fundamental principle of democracy. We now have leaders who have placed themselves above the law, violating not only the War Crimes Act of 1996, but Title 18 United States Code Sections 793 &794. We can not condemn Saddam for using torture when in fact we are using torture ourselves. Once we begin to act like the evil that permeates the globe, we ourselves become a party to that evil. American adherence to ideals has always been what made this country great, not our military might, which should only be used to protect that idealism. When we give up our principles, and when we use violent extremes to maintain a role in the world not ordained by the Constitution, we become as evil as those we are seeking to eradicate.

Why Did We Go To Iraq?

A report in the New York Times states that Vice-President Dick (Head) Cheney was the source of the leak in the Valerie Plame leak. And they should know since their reporter Judy Miller was part of the White House Iraq Group, intent on going to Iraq and selling the war to the American people. Their were 27 different reasons given by the Bush administration as to why went to Iraq.
The real reasons were given by retired Air Force colonel Karen Kwiatkowski in a number of speeches given at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville and Virginia Tech as well as the Appalachian Law Center.
According to Kwiatkowski, sanction and contaiment against Saddam following the first Gulf War were working too well. Many countries around the world were working preparing to do business with Iraq, once the sanctions had lifted. The US and Uk, who had ben bombing Saddam since 1991 were in no position to do business with Saddam in post sanctions Iraq.
Another reason was that Saddam decided in November 2000 to sell oil in his oil for food program in euros as opposed to dollars. When the sanctions were to be lifted, Saddam would be selling his oil in euros, not dollars. The US can print up as many dollars as it wants to buy oil, but we must buy euros. So, in effect, Saddam had cut us off from his oil supply. No more cheap oil.
Of course there were other mitigating factors you can read about here , or you can continue to scratch your head like a brain damaged monkey and pretend that the Bush administration was right, even though they committed treason to protect those lies. Never trust a man who speaks out of the side of his mouth.

America The Bully

When the US invaded Iraq, President Bush gave numerous reasons as to why it was necessary to attack a country that was not a threat to the US. He has tried on numerous occassions to link Saddam's regime to 9/11, even though there is no evidence that this was true. He tried to tie Saddam with alQieda, even though they were diametrically opposed. He said that Saddam was developing weapons of mass destruction, citing decades old intelligence and forged documents to make his case.
Saddam's regime was weakened following the first Gulf War and was forced to give up his chemical and biological weapons programs under the watchful eye of the UN. His people were suffering under economic sanctions placed on Iraq by the US and UK following the Gulf War. Quite simply, Saddam posed no threat to his neighbors or the United States. So why did we attack him?
Simply put, America has become the bully of the world, attacking defenseless countries with no real army to think of to steal the vital natural resources we need to grease the wheels of our hegemonic war machine. Often times, as in Somolia, we go under the guise of humanitarian purpose, but the real reason is the oil. In the Global Struggle Against Violent Extremism, we have become the most violent of extremists, even tossing away the ideals that this country was founded on so we can torture Iraqis for parking violations. We are fighting against an insurgency, people who resent an illegal occupation of it's land by a foreign oppressor.
Bullies always pick on the weak, those unable to fight back, which is why we haven't gone after North Korea, they actually have the weapons of mass destruction. No, we're content to pick on countries like Iran, whose army's equiptment is twenty five years old (and acquired from the US in an arms for hostages deal) and whose only crime, aside from wishing to build a nuclear power plant, is they happen to be sitting atop a bunch of oil.
We have become the nation that our Founding Fathers based their ideals against. The Bush Doctrine, which goes completely against the Monroe Doctrine, seems to be geared towards imperial designs, which opposes the ideals of the Founding Fathers. Couple that together with the Constitutional ban on cruel and unusual punishment and you'll find the Bush Administration, which has threatened to veto a bill co-authored by Sen. John McCain banning the use of torture, and it's supporters as being the most anti-American idealists ever to run this country. Right wing whack jobs like Ann Coulter call for the ban of free speech and Republicans applaud her. It only stands to reason that if they intend to okay the torture of parking violators in Iraq, it's only a matter of time before they allow it here.
Our country has become the Fascist state that we fought against in WWII, only the truly brain damaged or brainwashed couldn't see the flag waving propaganda as another cog in the Bush reich war machine. But it's okay, we're a superpower.

Ann Coulter: Media Whore

Recently, Conservative psychopath Ann Coulter spoke to a group of Florida Republicans , who managed to cough up the $30,000 speaking engagement fee. One wonders how many workers were layed off so the bastards could give themselves the bonuses to afford to donate to the cause. Ms. Coulter, author of the book "Treason" gave the audience an example of what she was talking about when she suggested doing away with the First Amendment, which was met by thunderous applause by the crowd.
Yes, all these super patriots you see all over the corporate media, as well as their corporate sponsors aren't really the patriots they claim to be, which is unsettling as they are the ones in power and committing crimes from Texas to Iraq. The people who blew the whole Clinton-Lewinsky affair out of proportion are now asking that the American people ignore the treacherous Bush administrations involvement in the Plame-gate case. Anyone who dare point out that the basis for the outing of an intelligence agent, a crime under US Code 18, section 793 & 794, was in retaliation for said agents husband pointing out obvious forgeries used to justify an illegal pre-emptive strike against a sovereign nation, is not as patriotic as those who gleefully lied to the American people to send their sons and daughters into a never ending quagmire where the death toll is creeping up on 2000 dead US soldiers, not to mention the hundreds of thousands of uncounted civilian casualties.
And all of this is just "background noise", along with a faltering econmy due to rising gas prices as well as outsourcing over the borders of hundreds of thousands of American jobs, an incompetently run government of cronyism, and ethically challenged Republicans (a redundancy?)facing indictments for numerous scandals to a President more focused on starting more wars in the Middle East than he is on serving the American people.
Basically, Ms. Coulter is a overpaid Conservative lapdancer, taking money from fat rich white businesmen to hang out with them and say the kind of things they wish they could say but are afraid to. It doesn't matter that what she says is inconsistent , either to true conservativism or what she said the week before, the only thing that matters is that she's able to spout her venom regularly enough to keep the money from speaking engagements rolling in. One wonders if they still would keep rolling in if she went off Atkins and wore longer skirts.

How Do You Explain This To Your Children?

Back in the Clinton Administration, there was a lot of self-righteous indignation from Republican conservatives vis-a-vis the Lewinsky Affair. You remember, "How do I explain this to my children when they ask about it?" How do you explain an over-zealous prosecutor, who, after spending millions of dollars investigating a shady land deal, finally had decided to interrogate a sitting President about an affair between two consenting adults that had nothing to do with the original investigation? (Something to keep in mind as conservative pundits try to limit the scope of the Valerie Plame affair) The only crime was when the prosecutor put the president under oath and asked the president point blank about the affair, the moron lied about it, leading to his being impeached.
Now we have the Bush administration committing many crimes from lying to the country about the need to go to war, to the treasonous outing of an intelligence official in retaliation for her husband blowing the whistle on some obviously forged document. But, in my estimation, the most heinous crime is this:
How do you explain to your children that the official policy of the Bush administration is torture of innocent Iraqis. Why are they being tortured? They know that Saddam had no WMD, yet for some sick reason, they tortured Iraqis, some, like this one, to death. Other times, we just torture children in front of their parents to get their parents to admit to something we know doesn't exist. And I know some of you try to pin it on scapegoats like Lynndie Englund, but if it is not an official policy of the Bush administration, why is Bush fighting a bill passed by the Senate to outlaw further torture of detainees?
Yesterday, as I took a walk with my sons, my oldest picked up an apple off the ground. A few steps later, he found a thorn bush and picked a thorn from it. A little bit later, he began to poke the apple with the thorn, saying, "Dad, this is an Iraqi-"
Now I know he didn't get that from me, so I explained to him that the United States is the bad guy in Iraq. We are there illegally, in defiance of the UN and international law. Iraq was no threat to the United States, and all the claims made against them by the Bush administration were, in fact, a lie. The people we are fighting there are the citizens of that country, repelling a foreign invader intent on stealing their oil to enrich a few billionaires in this country. Sure, we all get cheap oil from it but when you consider all the death to the Iraqis and American forces there because the Commander-in-Chief and all his cronies are greedy heartless bastards, the cost isn't worth it.
Because we aren't just stealing the oil. We are smearing the good name of the US by torturing civilians as policy. This violates the Geneva conventions, as well as the Constitution, and we haven't gained any thing from it. The fighting still goes on. We are fighting to save our sorry currency because politicians have been slowly selling out the American people. They have sold out labor. Now they are intent on selling out the middle class. And the American idiot goes along with it because they think someday, they'll be rich.
You won't be rich when the housing bubble bursts. You'll be stuck paying for a house that was overvalued when you refinanced it, but when the bubble bursts, you won't even be able to pay off the mortgage if you sell it, because it won't be worth the same. You won't be rich when peak oil hits. Remember how you cried when gas prices started to creep up in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina? When peak oil hits, you'll be lucky to have a job.
Well, you might get a job working security for all those gated communities where the rich people do live. Or, possibly, you could join the armed forces, where you will be asked to torture people. There will always be wars of conquest for oil, with Syria, Iran and Venezuela on the drawing boards. And, amazingly enough, the same lies will be used to sucker the American idiot in to supporting them. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me, can't get fooled again.

Another Example Of Why This Country Is Doomed

You by now have heard the story of this family of two parents and sixteen "blessings". And you probbaly have also heard of how they look forward to more "blessings" in the future. Is there any better example of why sex education and birth control (especially abstinence) need to be taught in our schools?
You see this couple, believe that each child is a blessing from God. No, you moronic Bible thumping imbeciles, each child is a product of procreation, with hubby sticking his hard on in wifey's warm and slimy place. Unless your husband is remembering Bible verses so he doesn't finish before you, this is the evil that Christians seek to eradicate from American culture. I don't know which is scarier, that this man intends on running for political office or the fact that if he and his wife keep it up, pretty soon they'll have a constituency.
Now think about this: you're sitting there reading this and you've bred once maybe two or three times, but you knew when enough is enough because you're intelligent and therefore passing on a little bit of that intelligence to your children. Now think about this: ignorant unscientific Bible thumping ridge runners like this are breeding at rates two or three or even five times the rate of intelligent people. Eventually, the country will be populated by mouth breathing droolers who are just stupid enough to buy into that whole intelligent design thing. Soon enough, we will have enough Christian soldiers to conquer the Middle East, create a Greater Zion, and bring back Sweet Jesus to judge the living. Or some such nonsense. Yes, the end of the world can't come fast enough for these idiots, they got to try to bring it on themselves. it doesn't help that we got the biggest dopiest one of these turds in the White House, and hasn't he done a fine job of bungling things up. I tell you, the rapture can't come fast enough for me if it means that we can finally stop having to put up with these pious sanctimonious rubes who think some invisible guy in the sky is going to save us. Who's going to save us from them? Or their many offspring, better educated in Bible verses than cold hard stark reality? What did this guy's parents expect when they named him Jim-Bob? The next Soo-preeme Court justice?
And this is of course why we are doomed. Idiots are breeding at higher rate than well educated people. It's the same the world over, go to any Islamic counrty where some one like Osama has, I don't know, twenty seven brothers and sisters and you could see what lengths one would go to to get Daddy's attention. Hey look! I blew up more infidels than Omar! I think that a worldwide basic intelligence test would be a good idea, where everyone who fails is shipped to Australia or some other stupid country where they can fight and fuck all they want, just do it to each other and let the rest of us be.

A Republican Style Democracy In Iraq

By Republican, of course I mean those unrepublican people who want to limit who and where you can vote, like in Florida in 2000, or Ohio in 2004. The true model of democracy is unfettered access to polling places to all, but to the Republicans it seems that all only extends to all those they've brainwashed into accepting their narrow world view. In 2000, for instance, I lived and voted in a largely black precinct and was forced wait long periods of time to cast my ballot, with only four election officials working . However, in 2004, having moved into a predominately white precinct, and polling at a new location where two precincts voted, there was twice as many election officials per precinct as opposed to the previous precinct, I was in and out of there so fast I barely had time to savor my voting. County clerk and Secretary of State? Both Republican, and it's these unseen little acts that have let a party that represents a small fraction of the way Americans think and feel control the whole country.
Now in Iraq, where people are getting ready to vote on a referendum for their new constitution, one that the US supports, and many Iraqis oppose, polling stations are greatly concentrated in areas where the greatest number of ocupation force supporters are located, while those disinclined to vote for said constitutional referendum are having trouble even locating any polling place. This is how you control the outcome of an election, by controlling who votes.
One wonders if the US is allowing those international voting observers in to monitor these elections, or should we just take these chronic liars word for it when the election turns out in their favor? Or are these elections to be staged, like the telenewsconference from Iraq Bush had last week in his desparate bid to prop up his approval ratings and garner support for the war? Don't expect the truth from the Korporate media,as they're too busy spending their time defending the bloggers against the onslaught of falling ratings caused by those who tell the truth (like, say, there were no WMD in Iraq) exposing them (those who supported and spread the lies and propaganda about WMD in Iraq) for being the Korporate lackey lapdogs that they are.
The truth is that America will be in Iraq for a long time. Our purpose is not to "stop Saddam" or "bring democracy". Our mission there is to ensure the security of the US as the number one superpower in the world by securing the world's oil supply and using the oil to back our currency. This is why we have been threatening Iran and Venezuela, but not North Korea, we only want the biggest oil reserves, everything after that is ours for the taking. The whole US economy is predicated on the abundance of cheap oil, once it becomes too expensive (in terms of dollars, human life is not that valuable to those in power as 9/11,the war and Hurricane Katrina have bore out. We are all collateral damage.) than those at the top face the threat of not only going broke, but the chance that the well armed Americans, no longer numbed by the convenience of affordable driveability, will rise up against those who have oppressed and exploited them, once peak oil takes away their livelihoods.
Therefore, the elections in Iraq are already a sham, a pointless excercise in futility. Like in America, the people of Iraq will be able to vote for whoever or whatever they want, as long as it's approved by Korporate America.

Depleted Uranium and You: What Your Recruiter Won't Tell You

Update:

In Iraq, following the first Gulf, 67% of a test group of 251 soldiers had birth defects, but the citizens of Iraq, left in the country where the DU dust mixed with the sand for a longer period of time than the two months the US was there in 1991, the birth defects were greater in number and more severe(see picture).
In returning troops from the first Gulf War, the DU has affected their sxual partners as well, many have developed endometriosis and have been forced to have hysterectomies due to severe health problems.

Now our troops are being expose to it for a greater stretch, with no end in sight for some soldiers. Returning North Carolina guard units have come down with a case of Baghdad Boils , an outbreak of skin ulcers that can grow for years. This has been attributed to sand flies causing cutaneous leishmaniasis, the treatment is an oral drug, Miltefosine, that has been proven effective. However, the soldiers are being treated with intravaneous Pentostam, which"results in a 50% decrease in parasite DNA, RNA and purine nucleoside triphosphate levels", although how a sand fly can affect the DNA is not elaborated on.

Many people in this country are still sporting their "Support The Troops" magnetic ribbons, but the truth is that if you were really concerned about the troops, you wouldn't ask them to wander the radioactive wasteland that Iraq has bcome since the invasion. Not only is DU used in the rounds fired, but also in the armor plating on the tanks that protect our troops from artillery, unfortunately while exposing them to more longer lasting harm from the radiation. In fact, tank crews from the first Gulf War, who often sat on crates of ammunition made from DU have developed rectal cancer(otherwise known as Rumsfeld's Carcinoma, cancer of the asshole).

While the military will not admit to the harmful effects of DU, the fact that they are treating the Baghdad boils with an anti-mutating medicine instead of a medicine developed to treat bug bites shows they are aware of what's going on, admitting to it would only open them up to numerous liabilty lawsuits brought forth by veterans of the Gulf War as well as the Global Struggle Advocating, oops, I mean the Global Struggle Against Violent Extremism.

Cancer. Mutants. It's just our government's way of saying thanks to our men and women in uniform.
(Editors Note: The following was one of my first posts and every once in a while I like to bring it out as it still is timely and still creates a reaction. I first re-posted it two months ago and as I struggle to overcome my nicotine addiction, I thought I would post this until I can get my head together and write again, hopefully tomorrow)

The US military-industrial complex has chosen to use depleted uranium as part of their arsenal in the illegal war in Iraq. Depleted uranium is made from recycled leftovers from the processing of uranium for nuclear weapons, submarine propulsion reactors, and civilian power plants and contains the isotope U-238 which has a radioactive half life of about 4.5 billion years . Used in the first Gulf War, it laid around the desert in Iraq being blown with the dust and sand causing thousands of deformities in Iraqi newborns. Which is okay for the brainwashed, they don't know about, they're not shown it's effects on an hourly basis by the propaganda mongers in the corporate media, so how can it be a bad thing?
Now, DU has been linked to birth defects of children born to soldiers who served in Iraq(http://www.nydailynews.com/front/story/236939p-203326c.html) . This is just the government's way of saying thank you for risking your ass for corporate America. Of course your slimy army recruiter won't tell you this. His job is to get you to sign on that line, any pertinent information is withheld that might make you reconsider. Hell, they'll help you pass a drug test and forge a high school diploma, these scumbags have no conscience, just a quota. If they did, they might show prospects this article(http://www.life.com/Life/essay/gulfwar/gulf01.html) before they signed up. No one wants to give birth to a mutant, but prolonged exposure to DU will cause that. And fighting the war in Iraq will give you prolonged exposure.
What these brain damaged dick weeds won't tell you either is that if you should die in Iraq, your body will not be returned with full military honors as in other coalition countries, your corpse will be snuck into this country in a shroud of shame because the powers that be who started this war know it was started by a lie. And if you are injured in Iraq, but die enroute to Germany, or in a German Hospital, you won't be counted among the war dead, so in fact your death was for nothing.
These guys are all professional liars, why should they come clean on this issue?

Everyone Calls For Impeachment, Except.....

The list of people calling for the impeachment of President Bush just grew longer as the Santa Cruz CA city council passed a resolution calling for the impeachment of the president for deliberately lying to send our troops to fight in an illegal war of conquest. They join those already having made the call such as conservative iconoclast PatBuchanan, the Green Party and Vermont Republican House candidate Dennis Morrisseau as well as millions of disgusted Americans the country over.
Democrats, however, have as of yet to make any such calls. When asked about this, one Democratic Senator said, "Well, I'm kind of waiting for my dry cleaning, then of course, I would have to buy new shoes," while another anonymous Senator from New York said, "It's not like there's a stained dress or anything tawdry to incriminate him with, just some official British document that we've managed to keep out of the media."
Others voiced concern that with most people in the line of succession under indictment or investigation, the most obvious successor would be a "African-American female, and we could never live it down if the Republicans got both our objectives in the White House before us, and by our own actions." Still more Democrats bemoaned all the investigations that might dig up some dirt on themselves, not that there is any.
John Kerry, who started a campaign to introduce articles of impeachment in the Senate said:" I was all set to start on several occasions, but everytime I tried, someone yelled 'Skull and Bones" and of course, I had to leave the room."
Americans who hope to see the Bush administration brought to justice are encouraged to vote for the Green Party candidate in 2006.

Bush Accidentally Invades Another Country

President Bush today accidentally ordered the invasion of Kyrgyzstan after watching an Australian Television comedy bit while drunk and assumed it was the real news. The bit featured an Australian comedian interviewing Texans about whether the US should invade Kyrgyzstan even though they show no threat, with the Texans throwing their support behind the invasion 100%.
"Hey, my approval ratings are in the toilet, the war in Iraq is unwinnable, my latest Supreme Court nominee is totally unqualified, I needed some sort of distraction from the fact that I'm completely incompetent,"said Bush today in a news conference,"I'm a war president, everything I do is based on going to war some where. There's still a small percentage of people who will back what I do, no matter how wrong or unjustified. All I need is my friends in the Corporate media to start the propaganda like they did for Iraq, and we'll have every body waving flags again. 9/11!"
US allies overseas were a bit perplexed by this move, with Israel being the most vociferous."I told them to invade Iran, dammit," Prime Minister Ariel Sharon said, "What is that drunken chimpanzee up to now?" Tony Blair said, "I haven't received any intelligence on Kyrgyzstan yet, but I am sure if they don't have it they can fix some up fairly quickly."
Here at home, Vice-President Dick Cheney had this to say:"Who told him he could do that? There's not a lot of oil up there, and certainly no infrastructure for my Halliburton to rebuild once we blow the place up."
Polls taken over the weekend indicate that the majority of Americans support the impeachment of President Bush as well as Vice president Cheney. "I'm unsure of who is next in the line of succession," said one respondent, "but I hope it's not some Republican under indictment or investigation."

Woman Finds Holy Image In Son's Underpants

Doretta Jablonski got a surprise the other day when she was doing her family's laundry. In the seat of her son's underpants she found a stain that looks like the Virgin Mary.
"I immediately called my daughter in and she agreed," says Mrs. Jablonski. "I called up my friend from church Lorena and she said the underwear had truly been blessed." Since then, the neighbors and members of church have been lining up at Mrs. Jablonsky's house to see the miraculous briefs. "My son, Cody, has been embarassed, but I told him that it was truly the work of the Lord."
"I wish mom would just wash them," said her son Cody,11, "I really don't like everyone looking at the skid marks in my underwear."
The sacred drawers are kept in a ziploc baggie in the cupboard above Mrs. Jablonski's refrigerator. She is selling them on eBay where bids have already raised the price of the underpants to $4,238.23.

Robertson Makes More Outrageous Claims Against Chavez

The former Reverend Marion "Pat" Robertson, seen here defecating on Hillary Clinton's front lawn, accused Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez of being responsible for "everything bad in the world." Robertson, who caused a furor earlier this year when he suggested the US government assassinate Chavez after Chavez remained in office scotching a business deal that Robertson hoped to make even more millions of dollars from, said God told him that Chavez gave Osama Bin Laden $1.2 million dollars and a DVD player. He also said that Chavez "doesn't golf, has no rich friends and doesn't speak English."
He also claimed that Chavez is "buying nuclear weapons from Iran," which has no nuclear weapon program of it's own. Robertson also said Chavez sent a congratulatory letter to Carlos the Jackal, is friends with Moammar Qaddaffi and owns a Charlie Manson record. Chavez also, according to Robertson, is a Marxist, a member of the UAW and a sponsor of the ACLU.
"God wants me to be rich,"stated Robertson, "and I can only siphon off so much from my followers before they wise up. I'm praying for him to wise up and step down so that the white minority of Venezuela and I can drain alll the money from the country's natural resources. So far I've succeeded in giving him real bad gas."
When reached for a comment, Chavez only laughed and called Robertson a "crazy greedy old gringo who should spend his wealth helping the poor."

Bush Uses Magic Words In Attempt To Boost Sagging Ratings

After Bush's approval ratings sunk even lower following his poor handling of the Hurricane Katrina aftermath, and attempts to by his army of conservative media apologists to put the blame on the mayor of New Orleans, the Louisiana governor, Bill Clinton, God, or the liberal welfare state, coupled with low support for the quagmires in Iraq and Afghanistan, which he blamed on Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton and Cindy Sheehan, President Bush gave a speech Thursday night in which he uttered his magic incantation in an attempt to prop up those droopy ratings.
Speaking before a handpicked crowd of war profitteers, political elitists and brainwashed true believers at the National Endowment for Democracy, a fascist front group, Bush thanked those in his administration taking time out of their busy schedules fighting to allow our military to torture people to stand behind him as he began the ritualistic ceremony to his Satanic overlord designed to, as he put it, "Get these darned American people off his back" as he struggled to "build a culture of victimization, in which someone else is to blame and violence is always the solution."
Bush then promised to "use modern technology to increase our destructive power" in his "American war on Islam" intended to "enslave whole nations and intimidate the world." We "target nations whose behavior we believe can change through violence. We will never back down, never give in and never accept anything less than complete victory."
Bush says he intends to tell people "what is good for them and what is not," as he "grew up in wealth and privilige" and has the power to decide what is good for poor Americans is that they join the military to use violence, even though he and his supporters, nor their children have to "go along for the ride."
"Our ideology pursues totalitarian aims, with conservatives prentending to be an aggrieved party, representing the powerless against an imaginary enemy." Bush stated that he has "endless ambitions of imperial domination, and wishes to make everyone powerless, except for ourselves. We seek to end dissent in every form, and to control every aspect of life, and to rule the soul itself, promising a future of justice and holiness, while preparing for a future of opression and misery."
"By fearing freedom, by distrusting human creativity and punishing change, and limiting the contributions of half the population, our ideology undermine the very qualities that make human progress possible and and human societies successful. Our grim vision is defined by a warped image of the past, a declaration of war on the idea of progress itself."
Bush's speech was met with thunderous applause, and all circled closer as Bush and members of the Project For A New Amercian Century began their incantation: "9/11, 9/11, 9/11,9/11." The meeting then ended, with most members rushing to meet with their mistresses, while Bush settled in the back of his Presidential limousine with a fifth of Jim Beam and a couple rails of Peruvian flake.

Bush Pulls His Supprot For Iraqi War

In a move that has stunned just about everyone, President George W Bush has pulled his support for the war in the Iraq, siding with his defenders who attacked critics of Bush's recent handling of Hurricane Katrina for expecting the government to rescue them in a catastrophe.
"It's time for the world to realize that Big daddy US of A can't come to their rescue everytime a tyrannical dictator that we supported and armed oppresses them. This is a job best left to local governments, without any interference from the United States government."
Citing more pressing issues, Bush said, "I've got a Supreme Court to pack and keeping the Republican majority to maintain in the 2006 elections. It's time that the world understands that our problems stop at our borders and everybody needs to learn to take care of themselves."
Professional right wing entertainer Sean Hannity, shocked at first, has thrown his support behind the president. "It's time these people learned to pull themselves up by their sandals straps. I can't keep getting tax cuts if the budget deficit grows out of control everytime we need to spread democracy to people who are too lazy to fight for it themselves."
Former Republican majority leader and indicted criminal Tom DeLay (R-TX) stated:" We're just too darn busy fighting criminal investigations to spend the energy fighting battles for people who lack the gumption to look beyond the US for help in establishing their own democracy."
The news was not as good for Wall Street as Bechtel and Halliburton stock prices took a sudden plunge, forcing President Bush to take out a PPO against Vice-President Dick Cheney.
Democrats came out in support of the president as well as party leaders John Kerry, Hillary Clinton, Howard Dean and Harry Reid applauded his actions. "We've always opposed the war," said a spokesperson for Ms. Clinton,"We just kept voting to fund it because Israel wanted us to, and we need to get re-elected to continue to fight to allow corporate America to send more jobs across the border."
There was no immediate response from the people of Iraq.

US Military Perform Successful Total Birth Abortion

Today there was much celebrating as US troops successfully performed another total birth abortion. This maneuver, controversial around the world was lauded by upstanding American citizens as a "step in the right direction."
Anti-choice religious businessman Dr. Marion "Pat" Robertson said, "That's one head that won't be wrapped in a towel!"
Virtue advocate and gambling addict William Bennet said, "If you aborted every Iraqi baby, I could drive around in my limousine a lot longer."
Conservative leader Ralph Reed commended the baby for "making a supreme sacrifice to line the pockets of wealthy Christian Americans."
President Bush lauded it as, " a step in the right direction. However, there are still many more babies, woman and children left before we can bring the painful birth of democracy to Iraq."
Congress people from both parties cheered as "every successful one of these prevents any members of our family from being forced to do a tour of duty in that noble quagmire."
Israel, however, condemned the baby as a potential suicide bomber, saying "it's going to take a lot more of these before we can really feel secure."
However, not every one was rejoicing. Heaven spokesman Jesus H. Christ said, "God condemns this. As you do to the least of me, you do to me as well." He then went on to say tha"God is preparing more hurricanes to hurl at America until they finally get it."

Once Again, Cronyism Beats Out Competence In The Bush Administartion

The ineptitude of the Bush administration has reared it's ugly head again. This time, it's Bush's most recent Supreme Court Nominee, Harriet Miers. Apparently he learned nothing from the FEMA debacle about appointing political insiders to government positions.
The good news is that the conservatives abhor her because she used to be a Democrat, the bad news is she used to be a Democrat. According to Raw Story , Miers was picked by Cheney after being recommended by Senator Harry Reid, a Nevadan Democrat. Perhaps this was to placate those who bitterly opposed John Roberts on the left, or maybe just another example of how there is no real opposition party in this country anymore, just a bunch of political insiders, having a grand old cocktail party spending the taxpayers money in order to enrich their wealthy contributors.
Perhaps Reid's attraction to her (it wasn't physical, I think) is the fact that she never has sat on a bench, making her overwhelmingly underqualified for the position. Like Bush, she has never written a legal opinion (the most anyone has ever caught Bush writing was a note to Condoleeza asking if he could go to the bathroom), perhaps that's what they want, someone with no real opinion themselves, no paper trial of legal writs for opponents to subpeona, who will vote the way she is told.
Of course, the other cynical thought, is that Bush had to choose between a white woman or a black man.......

How Do You Feel About The Death Penalty Now, W? or Too Bad You Can't Pardon Yourself

Today, on This Week, George Stephanopolous said a source close to the investigation said that Bush and Cheney were involved in discussions to out Valerie Plame in response to Joseph Wilson's charge that the Nigerian "yellow cake" documents touted by Bush as evidence that Saddam was trying to start a WMD campaign were forgeries. Obviously, whoever forged the documents signed the name of someone not in power in Niger since 1999.
These came from the Pentagon's OSI, whose head, Larry Franklin is involved in the AIPAC scandal where sensitive documents going through his office were being passed on to another nation's (okay, Israel's) intelligence community.
The outing of an intelligence agent is a violation of US Code, section 18, 793 and 794, and is punishable by death or life in prison. Now, if Bush is involved in this, it would mean that the arrogant bastard should go to jail at worst, or have the whole lot of them thrown out at least.
Well, they would be if there was an opposition party in this country, however, all we have is the Democraps, as much under the influence of Israel and Korporate Amerika as the Republicants. That's why this whole tawdry mess will be swept under the rug and no one will be punished for lying to the American people about Saddam's WMD, because Israel wanted the war in Iraq and Korporate Amerika wanted to reap the profits from that war. Now Israel, who refuse to sign the nuclear NPT wants the US to invade Iran because they want to acquire nuclear power, and Israel, who controls our Congress and president wants us to stop it. And if we don't, they will, putting our troops in between Iran and Israel in Iraq right in the way of WWIII. No wonder Bush has started drinking again.
And of course, the Democrats will do nothing either, their excuse being that "Between the arrogance, the indictments and the general culture of corruption, it's really hard to decide where to begin." You want to run Congress, but you don't know where to begin to take out the most corrupt administration this country has ever seen? No wonder everyone sees you guys as spineless, you can't even make a simple decision. "Republicans have no strategy and no plan."Oh, and you do? Republicans plans are right there on the table, it's called the PNAC. Loot the country, enrich your contributors, put the screws to the working people and mess up the economy so bad that anyone looking for a job will be forced to join the Armed Forces. The Democrats plan is obviously to sit on their butts and let it happen. "America can do better."They sure can, unfortunately, you won't find it in the major parties.
But fortunately, the majority of the brainwashed masses have accepted this corruption and inaction as they feel that it's the only solution to the problem, right? It's like sticking with a football team during a bad season because you already bought the team jacket. Next season, they might get better, right?
If there is a next season, that is.

What Do You Do With A Drunken President?

Reports from all kinds of different sources, from the National Enquirer to Capitol Hill Blue , have been saying that Bush is on the juice patrol again. The one time permanent party frat boy is at it again, probably in a vain attempt to regain the soggy memories of perceived former glory days when all he had to do was shellback young initiates into the Skull and Bones society. Back then, he was Mr. Popularity, now his approval ratings are falling like the Twin Towers, and no amount of intoning "9/11, 9/11" will change that now.
The "Mission:Accomplished" in Iraq is dragging out and heading for an all out civil war with our troops caught between warring factions, his political hack crony appointments have proven, in the aftermath of Katrina, to be as incompetent as he, and then there's the ever increasing pressure from Israel to send more troops (which we don't have available) into Iran and Syria. The economy's faltering, his Social Security plan failed to catch fire, impeachment talks grow as more and more people become aware of the lies he used to start the unholy war in Iraq, about the only success he has had is John Roberts confirmation as Chief Justice and if that don't send shivers down your spine, consider this:
If Bush is drinking again, and the Democrats (besides my girl, Cynthia McKinney) grow a spine and start impeachment proceedings, he may step down, leaving Dick(head) Cheney in the Oval Office. Cheney, one of the signers of the Project For A New American Cemetery, I mean Century, is the one who suggested that we nuke Iran after the next terrorist attack, even if they had nothing to do with it. Cheney's just chomping at the bit to use tax payer's money to blow the piss out of something so tax payer's money can be paid to Halliburton to rebuild it. With the passage of the Patriot Act and the installment of John Roberts to the Supreme Court, everything's set up for Cheney to be the Evil Emperor you knew always existed behind that crooked smile. He certainly doesn't have enough grace to get elected post-Bush and has enough money to keep himself alive as long as Monty Burns.
And when that happens, we'll all be living in the good ol' US of H. (Halliburton)

Jesus Is A Nigger

"You could abort every black baby in this country, and the crime rate would go down."-Bill Bennett

Before I get a bunch of comments suggesting I am a racist for using the "n" word, let me assure you, I am not. Back in the first Gulf War, I happened to use a men's room in a bar where some one had scrawled "Kill all the sand niggers" on the wall. This brought to mind my art history classes I took while in College. One of the first things taught that in all the original depictions of Jesus, or the Good Shepherd, he was shown with long curly black hair and dark skin, as would befitting a person from the region that Jesus sprang up from. As cultures assimilated Christianity, they made him over to look more like the citizens of the country where he was being introduced. That's why our image of Jesus is of the vaguely European looking hippie. I had a postcard sent by a friend down south, in which Jesus was portrayed as a mullet headed white hillbilly (oops, I mean ridge runner) in robes. But the truth of the matter is, Jesus is black.
I played in a proto-grunge band back in the eighties called NAIF (for New Age Industrial Folkies) and wrote a song called "Jesus Is A Nigger" as a put down of those racists who get upset when black people call each other niggas and they can't call them niggers (not understanding the difference between the two words). In the song, the good Christian racist dies and goes to heaven only to find out that Jesus is a black man. It almost got me killed one night until I explained what the song is about.
You see, I like black people. I prefer them over white people because being white, I know we all are racist. That's why Rush Limbaugh singles out Jesse Jackson for criticism but not Marion "Pat" Robertson. Rush is a racist. And so is Bill Bennett.
The above statement was made on a talk show when a caller suggested that if all the babies aborted were allowed to live, their extra income would have generated enough money to save Social Security. Virtuous Christian and gambling addict Bennett followed up the question with that statement.
Of course Mr. Bennett over looked the fact that most white people aren't arrested as often when committing the same crimes as black people. More black people live in poverty and are unable to afford a good lawyer like white people and are more likely to go to jail. More white people have political connections that allow them to go free when committing the same crimes as white people. Hell, the Bush twins can be photographed underage drinking on the cover of a national news tabloid and never even thought of being prosecuted.
So the next time you racists are watching "COPS" and see that black man get roughed up for having a rock of crack cocaine, just remember that Noelle Bush was found in rehab with a crack rock in her shoe and all she got was ten days in jail. And when all you cracker racist Christians die and go to heaven, you''ll have to answer to Jesus why you hate his people.

Getting Ready to Shoot The Other Foot

According to reports the US is preparing to send the 101st Aiborne to iraq to train police officers. Could't they just get that Rizzo guy from M*A*S*H who was in all them "Police Academy" movies? Sending the 101st to train police officers is like going to your dentist for a vasectomy, it's not what they were trained to do.
There are those who suggest the real reason we're sending them is in preparation for an invasion of iran, Iraq's next door neighbor. And since we're doing such abang up job in Iraq, why not invade Iran as long as we're over there. True, they haven't attacked us and pose no real threat to our country, but hey, that didn't stop us from invading Iraq! What Iran is doing is seeking to build a nuclear power plant, with help from the Russians. Apparently, all those environmentalists were right, nuclear power is bad, otherwise why would we a bunch of conservatives be invading iran under that premise?
I've formulated two theories, and they run concurrently, so we'll see if they work. One is, of course, the oil thing. Iran is blessed with large quantities and Conservatives like to drive big cars. They also have a lot of connections to big oil, who stand to make a ton of money if we corner the world petroleum market(You're next Chavez!). All they need is some cockamamie excuse that they can sell to the brainwashed to keep them frightened and in front of their tvs (nuclear power=nuclear weapons) and presto! you've got support for another illegal invasion for those too stupid to realize that America is required to obey international law, no matter how much might we have, it doesn't make a right.
the other theory is that Ariel Sharon wants us to invade Iran. Israel wants to be the only nation in the MidEast with nuclear weapons (even though you can't mention that in polite company) and will send it's American attack dogs to do it's bidding once again. And if you think that Israel doesn't have that power, consider that AIPAC was successful in keeping the Democratic leadership from seizing the moment and behaving like an opposition party by attending the Anti-War march last Saturday in Washington DC.
The only fly in the ointment is Russian military excercises that will be operating of the coast of India through the next year. It's Russia's reactor that Iran is using, and if Iran is attacked, Russia will come to it's defense, surely kicking off World War III. But at least none of the political elite or their children will have to fight in it, and following Katrina, there's sure to masses of unemployed people looking for gainful employment, and boy, does Uncle Sam have a job for you.

The New American Chauvinism

The American way of life, sprawling suburbs and Sport utility Behemoths, cheap imported consumer goods and tacky box stores, is doomed. It can be prolonged, but it will never be sustained. Hurricane Katrina should have ben a wake up call, but most of America rolled over and hit the snooze button, not wanting to have to deal with this fact until it flips us off our mattresses and on to the floor. Thousands of Texans, fleeing Hurricane Rita and depleting gas stations on their way is a portent of the things to come.
Right now, the world is heading towards something called peak oil. Some say we have already hit it, others say it's still a few years away. What this means is that as demand for gasoline increases, production will fail to keep up with that demand as more and more resources dry up. This will drive the cost of consumer goods up as the cost of shipping them cross country will continue to rise until it becomes prohibitive. The expensive and over mortgaged house in the suburbs will severely devalue as the cost of the daily commute to the job in the city takes up most your paycheck.
Americans will continue to play along with the charade as long as they have a job and the oil companies condition us to the high fuel prices by raising and lowereing the prices until we will be glad to pay five dollars a gallon because we saw what it was like at six dollars a gallon.
Of course, there are those who feel that this justifies the war in Iraq, the oil is needed to protect this grotesque American way of life, the rampant consumerism and mindless wastefulness. They are called right wingers and their attitude reflects a New American Chauvinism.
Chauvinist is a term derived from the French after one Nicolas Chauvin, a soldier in Napolean's Army who displayed an excessive militant patriotism. The term, chauvinism, was meant to exemplify blind and excessive nationalism, was co-opted by the feminist movement of the sixties and seventies and used against those males who rightly felt themselves superior to females.
The new American chauvinist pig is a reactionary nut who will do anything to keep up his wantonly wasteful lifestyle, at the expense of someone else's life. He needs that gas guzzling truck to haul his chainsaw, his lawn mower and his snowblower in. It works well to pull his snowmobile, fishing boat, jet ski, and ATVs. Without his wife's SUBehemoth, she has nothing to drive to the box store to buy useless consumer goods made in China or the third world.
It doesn't matter to the New American chauvinist that their President is a liar, as long as he ensures the free flow of petroleum to fuel his wasteful lifestyle. They will even use their religious beliefs to justify the slaughter of indigeonous peoples who stand in the way of their lust for oil consumption.
The cost of this war will borne out by future generations as the expense of stealing and maintaining the dominance of the oil rich region will far out weigh the return. Future generations will have to live with the legacy set forth by the new American chauvinist, that of using force to take what we need to maintain this ridiculous charade of filling the empty spots in our lives with more and more pointless consumer goods.
The new American Chauvinist will ridicule those who stand in the way of their precious crude. Those who protest the blood for oil are bike riding traitors, aligned more with the perceived enemy than the corporations who are stealing his tax money to ensure that they get a little richer providing the chauvinists with the fuel for their addiction to gas. These wasteful fools see no problem with their improvident lifestyle and are unwilling to make the necessary changes that in time they will be forced to accept. They will squander it all away, leaving nothing behind for their children and grandchildren but the ruins and remains of a once great nation.

Someone Had To Say It

At this stage in the game I am so tired of the same suppositories in different wrappers that Americans call the two party system. They all bitch and moan about accountability and end up blaming the other guy anyway.
George "Wuss" Bush blamed everyone for 9/11, which, if you mat remember, happened while he was President. You can't Blame Jimmy Carter, you can't blame Bill Clinton, can't blame Ronald Reagan. Of course, he never tried to blame his daddy. But the truth of the matter is there was a mountain of intelligence about Bin laden's determination to strike at America, unfortunately, that didn't fit into the mole hill of intelligence that passes for our President.
Only a retard really believes that Saddam had something to do with 9/11, or had ties to alQeida, but surfing the right wing blogs, that doesn't seem to matter. Their brains are too unformed (or being used as a cranial suppository) to really care, the important thing is some one told them to follow the leader, and by gum, they're gonna follow him right off that cliff.
They even get mad when you refer to the US occupation forces as occupiers, even though the only foreign members of the "insurgency" are British Troops dressed as Arabs. The rest of the rebels fighting our troops are Iraqis who want us to get the Hell out.
On the democrat side, you get a bunch of elitists paid off with AIPAC funds to shut up and don't say nothing bad about the illegal war in Iraq. The only difference between the two parties is at least the Republicans don't pretend they aren't going to rape you. Voting for any of these criminals is like throwing your vote away. They're only going to line their pockets and the pockets of their cronies, with a few scraps of pork thrown to their constituents to make it seem as if they're doing something in DC.
Then I read what Harry Browne had to say and I realized this was the guy who should be President. Not some photo-op seeking backroom dealing political party pay-off appointing incompetent, Harry seems to me to be the guy who will do what needs to be done, Korporations and Israel be damned. When he says tax cuts, you know he means tax cuts where they are needed, on the small businessman trying to survive in the box store jungle. When he says liberty and freedom, he means no dirty left wing nut job telling you that you can't have a gun nor some sanctimonious hypocritical right wing nut job telling you that you can't get an abortion. I've been around the block a couple times, everybodies back yard could stand to be cleaned up.
Of course, the only problem is that Americans have been brainwashed into the two party quagmire, if you think the other guy is screwing up this country, you're only half right. Just look at the rising unemployment and the crumbling infrastructure and realize that workingg together, the Republicans and Democrats have done this together and tried to blame each other with no accountability from either. So, if he decides to run, Harry's got my vote.
You could do worse and you always have*.

Suppose They Gave A War Protest And No Democrats Came?

This Saturday, a major war protest is being planned for Washington DC. With support for the war at 32% , you would think that this would be the oppurtunity for the democrats to grow a spine and show up and support the anti-war movement, since now a full majority of Americans disapprove of the way the war is being handled. But, alas, no Democrats plan on showing up.
I shouldn't say no Democrats, Cynthia McKinney and John Conyers will be there. No John Kerry, no Hillary Clinton, no Howard Dean, however. Cindy Sheehan will be there, and she spoke to Ms. Clinton about attending and was met with the reply "Now is not the time to come out against the war." Actually, the time to come out against the war was before it even started, but the Democratic leadership, those spineless craven cowards, were too timid to even vote against the war, despite the worldwide protests before the war. How many of our troops must die in a desert quagmire before they decide to stand up against it? How many billions of dollars must we waste in over payments to Halliburton before they wake up and realize that the effort is draining the country with no substantial results. How many British soldiers dressed as Arabs will be arrested with cars full of explosives by the Iraqi police before they realize that our noble intentions don't exist at all?
So these are our choices America: the chickenhawks of the right, too cowardly to enlist themselves, but all too eager to send our troops to die so a few of their contributors can rake in a nice profit at taxpayer expense, and the chickenshits on the left, too cowardly to stand up against the right and Israel as they demand more and more sacrifices of our money and children.
We don't need a protest, folks, we need a new American revolution.

Preamble On

Korporate America Rewrites the Preamble To The US Constitution

We, the people of the United States of America (well, not all the people, just the affluent white people and a few tokens) in order to form a more perfect union (union? That doesn't sound very Amerikan!) establish justice (white criminals like Ken Lay go free after stealing billions of dollars while some poor black man goes to jail for life with a quarter ounce of weed. That's our kind of justice) insure domestic tranquility (by never ever pointing out our fearless leaders lies, mistakes, or general incompetence) provide for the common defense (contractors, that is) promote the general welfare (welfare? union? what kind of pinko liberals were these founding fathers any way?) secure the blessings of liberty (by locking up or enslaving those people deemed inferior by our racist attitudes) on ourselves (once again, the affluent white people) and our posterity (meaning our fat white asses) ndo ordain and establish this Constitution for the (affluent white people of the) United (Red) States of America.

The (Rotten) Apple Doesn't Fall Too Far From The Tree

When Jeb Bush's youngest son was arrested the other night for public intoxication and resisting arrest, it was just another in a long line of crimes perpetrated by the Bush family in this century.
John Ellis Bush's sister was arrested for trying to illegally acquire Xanax with a stolen prescription pad. While in court ordered rehab, she went to jail twice, once for having prescription pills and the second time after allegedly having a crack rock in her shoe.
John's cousins were often photographed drinking in the bars, even though both were underage.
John's older brother George Bush III was detained by police after he broke into the house of his ex-girlfriend's on a Christmas morning. He was released after Jeb talked the girl's father in to not pressing charges. His mother was caught trying to smuggle $19,000 worth of jewelry into the country.
And of course, there's the numerous offenses incurred by John's uncle, the president. From his drunk driving offenses and his malicious destruction (he stole a Christmas wreath off a door) to his illegal under international law invasion of Iraq, it's obvious that the Bush family feels that the law is for the other people, not them.
All this pales in comparison to John's great grandfather Prescott Bush's and great-great grandfather Herbert Walker's conviction under the trading with the enemy act for doing business with the Nazis during World War II. Yes the Bush family tree is loaded with nefarious criminal types who, for some reason (because they're rich?) never actually had to pay for their crimes.
Maybe someday the American people will stop electing criminals and send them to prison instead of Washington DC.

The Ripple Effect

Today at work, Donna was asked to take a lay-off. The company we both work for provides dining services in both corporate and industrial settings. Another location our company had a contract with shut down it's local plant to ship the manufacturing to Mexico. So along with all the factory workers losing their jobs, the employees from our company would be out on the street, except because we belong to a union, the ones with seniority had bumping priviliges, meaning they could force Donna out of her job as she had little seniority.
Now this new person has to drive forty miles to work each day, which is just as well, as there are probably not too many jobs in their area since the plant laid off 1500 people, and the town it's in is very small. Still, with gas prices what they are, a good portion of their hourly wage will go to the cost of driving eighty miles round trip each day. Which means that they'll probably not have any extra money for extras, just the basics, food, gas, lodging.
With all the unemployed people in this town, coupled with working people on limited budgets, local retailers will feel the pinch and be forced to lay off employees as well. Some will be forced to close as they are unable to compete with the box stores.
With all the unemployment in this town, fewer tax revenues will be generated, so more services will be cut. More people will leave to find work in the big city and if they own property, will have to take a loss for their once desirable house. Property values will drop as no one wants to live where there is no work close by, and with that, property taxes will fall, leaving even less for the public schools which have always been at the bottom of the tax food chain.
At one time, America used to export quality items that people wanted to buy. Now all we export is jobs and war. The Republicans and the Democrats have sold the American worker out, and in turn, every community in the country that relies on the worker to sustain it's existence. As the trade deficit grows, the dollar starts falling, as we have nothing to back it up. Many countries, such as China, are now pegging their currency against the Euro, as opposed to the dollar. Our money become worth less, as oil prices keep going up, this will surely trigger another round of inflation.
Many people in this country have blamed the unions for driving up wages that have made the American worker overpriced in the global marketplace, while no one looks at the CEOs who have made plundering their companies for multi-million dollar salaries the norm. The American worker just wants to earn a decent living, and have enough to set aside to retire on. They want to earn enough so they don't have to work another job in their off time to enjoy the standard of living they have become accustomed to. Guess what people, that's not going to happen. The American worker is being sacrificed on the altar of Globalization, which will only benefit a small percentage of the population at the expense of the masses (ohmigod, I'm sounding like a communist), all courtesy of those people we pay taxes to support, the US Congress.
NAFTA and CAFTA have allowed these corporations to export more American jobs away from the US in blind drive for increased profits.
But if no one has any money to purchase your products because they don't have a job, how are you going to make a profit? Shortsighted idiots.

Misdirection is Rush's Magic

I was helping my friend, the Coach out as he was renovating some of his rental property today. As I tried to engage him in discussions, he would interrupt with "What about this Democrat" or "What about that Democrat" regurgitating stories he heard today on the Rush Limbaugh show of which he is an avid listener.
I am not a liberal nor am I a conservative. I don't believe in the Republicans nor I do I believe in the Democrats. I believe that while there may good people on both sides of the aisle, The party leaderships of both of them have sold America out a long time ago. And this is always the point I try to engage the Coach in, and once I am able to snap him out of his daily brainwashing, he will agree with me.
What Rush does is merely misdirection. A story comes up in the Korporate media that sheds unfavorable light on a member of the Republican party, and Rush will say, "What about this sleazeball Democrat?" And because his listeners are brainwashed conservatives of very limited attention spans, they say to themselves, "Yeah, what about this sleazeball Democrat?" and forget all about the scumbag Republican. And then the Dittoheads forget all about how one of their own is a scumbag and have ammunition to fire at liberal acquaintances. And neither of the brainwashed have the ability to be objective and say, "Hey, wait a minute, they're all fucking us!"
Rush also has a litany of liberal buttons to push to get his listeners riled up about when a Republican actually admits a mistake. Pop! Teddy Kennedy. Pop! Jesse Jackson. Pop! Hillary Clinton. Pop! Louis Farrakhan. He even tries to justify racism by saying it's not as bad as it is in other countries. That there should be no racism in this country at all, especially from our leadership, is beside the point.
I hope someday that the brainwashed will realize that what we need is not party loyalty, or ideological loyalty, but fidelity to the people of this country alone. Hopefully then, they will ditch both parties and seek out the candidates who don't stand firm on non-issues like abortion or gun control, rather stand firm on bringing the country together and creating the great country our Founding Fathers envisioned when they wrote the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
Which is what Rush Limbaugh is trying to prevent.

Material Things

Over the last weekend, I had a sale to divest myself of all the material things I "collected" in a vain attempt to fill a void in my life. For me the acquisition of stuff was more the thrill of the hunt than actually having them, once acquired, they went into a "collection" that accumalated dust. Having had to move several times now, I realize what I need and what I think I need are two different things.
I had set up shop in my driveway, with people stopping by to peruse my goods, which, unless you were as deluded as I, would realize that it all was useless junk. Old toys the kids never played with because the next day they'd get a new one. Board games I collected in a scheme I devised to set up a website where people with the same game that was missing a piece could purchase them from me for a small fee plus shipping. And things that I needed for my house (I live in an apartment now) that I no longer have a use for.
Americans are obsessed with shopping. We even have dollar stores for those unable to shop at Wal-Mart but still want to experience the thrill of buying something totally useless that we'll end up selling at next year's garage sale. Or end up broken as it's poorly designed and manufactured.
And it's all made in China or some third world country where the worker gets paid just enough to live in debt, just like an American. All the money the Korporations save by doing this aren't passed on to the consumer, it's used by the Korporations to buy politicians who will then pass more legislation detrimental to the worker but good for the Korporations. Or they use it to buy media time to tell us all how much better our lives will be if we buy their products.
Like cell phones. In theory, they are a useful item if you're traveling and your car breaks down. But every where you look, you'll see someone walking or driving talking on a cell. Studies funded by the cell phone companies say that the radiation from them is safe, but how long have they had to study the prolonged exposure by those people on them constantly? And every couple months, they come out with new cell phones that make the one you have obsolete. Sucker.
Are the cell phones made in America? Look at yours. The company I work for provides services for Korporate manufacturing locations, and in the three years I've been with them, we've lost four locations due to the plants closing up shop and shipping all the jobs somewhere else. The only jobs available are jobs in the retail or service industry. Even IT and design jobs are going overseas. Is this any way to run an economy?
So I've given up buying crap I don't need. I have what I want and I want what I have. I make the best of it and don't covet things like designer handbags or ipods. Eventually, they'll go out of style or be replaced by the next step in technology and I'm left with something even more useless than when I bought it. But maybe I could sell it to you.

Where Were You Four Years Ago?

This is a question that will be repeated over and over again in a lame attempt to exploit a tragedy to prop up approval rarings for Bush after his appointed cronies bungled up the Katrina response. (Or is that Corrina ? Somebody needs to lay off the Xanax)
We all know what President Bush was doing on that morning. Not a damn thing. And yet he did nothing but a make a speech the following day and his approval ratings soared like that eagle John Ashcroft sings badly about.
Now all those flag decals have faded much like the country itself, as the Bush administrtaion has shown that with all our resources being squandered overseas, there is no one left to protect us at all. Sure, reactionary pundits cry "Why should the government protect us?" when if they can't, why the hell are we paying taxes.
Four years ago I was at work, when the news came of a bomb going off or something at the WTC. The corproate coffee bar had CNN on that day and people ran down to keep an eye on what was going on. I suggested to my boss that we turn on Howard Stern, as he was in Manhattan and might know a little more than what was filtering down from the coffee bar. My boss, a reactionary himself, refused. Then, a few minutes later, someone came running down the hall. "A plane, they think another plane has hit the other tower."
Evrerybody was aghast, so to lighten the mood I suggested it was probably some stunt to prop up george W Bush's approval ratings, as the day before they were at an all time low. As the day progressed, I worried about my family forty miles away, so I asked if I could call my wife. The kids were watching a Barney tape and she hadn't heard anything about it. It was reassuring to hear her voice and I finished out the day's work just wanting to be there in case something bad had happened.
Then came the news from the Pentagon. After that all planes were ordered to land.
As i drove home that afternoon, I passed the Holland Municipal airport. It was full of planes. i watched for planes all the way home but saw none. When I got home, I turned on the news and watched in horror as the plane hitting the second tower was replayed over and over again from various angles. I felt sad, and began to cry.
I went out side and the world was calm. Planes that usually flew over my home on regular basis were not there. Why did this happen? Iasked myself over and over.
Two weeks later, our department was let go and I was out of a job. Everyday, I wondered as to why this had happened and why their didn't seem to be any action from our president. Just a bunch of speeches.
"They hate us because we are free and they are not." Wait a minute, we're free? Our freedom is an illusion, try to excercize it and you'll find we are not free. As long as we are showered with pointless consumer goods and kept distracted by Korporate distractions, we will never know it. As long as we are brainwashed to believe the solutions to our problems are with the people who created those problems in the first place, the Democrats and/or Republicans, we will never be the great country envisioned by our founding fathers. Watching the two parties spin the blame spinner in a game of responsibility Twister, I realize that unless we wake up tomorrow, we are doomed to be caught in a perpetual tape loop of good cop/bad cop between the two parties, who don't seem to work for the people, but rather are the kept lap dogs of the devils of Korporate America.
After being terminated, my wife and I purchased a computer and I went online for the first time. I applied for positions I was qualified for, I applied for positions I wasn't qualified for, and I even applied for positions I was over qualified for, to no avail. How many of our governmental appointees went through this process. Did "Brownie"? Of course not, he was appointed as a political favor, not for any qualifications he had in dealing with emergency situations.
In the evenings, I was back online and I began to look for answers. I read a lot of far out theories about 9/11, until I found something I could swallow. It was at a website that provided me answers that television didn't offer. It was the closest thing to truth I could find.
Sometimes, it may contradict itself, but it never forces ideas on me. It lets me decide based on a preponderance of provided evidence. It doesn't cater to the left, nor does it cater to the right. It has the same anti-hypocritical philosophy I've always tried to maintain. I visit it several times daily and it has never let me down.
God Bless Michael Rivero!
