Outrageous Vs Outrage

I don't watch the news. Around here, the network news comes on the same time as syndicated reruns of That 70's Show, which is much more honest in it's presentation than the news.
There was a time when the network news was populated by journalists, who brought you actual news about the days events. A bit dry, and colorless, it nonetheless was the prestige arm of all the broadcast networks. It was their way of compensating for broadcasting inane shit like Gilligan's Island into people's living rooms.
Of course, it didn't generate as much revenue because it wasn't cheap, it wasn't tawdry, it wasn't trash. So few people watched it.
The eighties was birth of tabloid television. Suddenly, this type of "news" became a ratings force because slack jawed television watchers could cluck their tongues at the latest celebrity scandal and say "See, even with all that money and fame......" Agents, managers and publicists took notice and realized the truth of the old maxim "There's no such thing as bad publicity". For every negative action there is a positive reaction, and while some people may be offended by pantyless pop stars, others would think it epitomized a kind of rebellion, against what and why were pointless, because it didn't matter.
This snowballed into more ratings as more viewers, despairing over their television addled lives, clung to these reports as a way to build their ow self-esteem. "Well, I may not have much money, but I wouldn't do that" being their favorite saying.
Now it has spread to the network news programs, which now are locked in a battle for carbonated beverage advertising revenue, so boring old stories that are really important get sidelined for more trivial stories for gossip fodder around the watercooler.
All three major networks ran stories about the topless Hannah Montana photos, but none of them ran a story about Pentagon military analysts used by the networks and their ties to defense contractors.
In five years, poor Mylie Cyrus will be a washed up has been, still hounded by the papparazzi hoping to document her latest round of bad behavior, while some other fifteen year old pop star will have grabbed the attention of television watchers who only want to feel better about their own dismal existence, but it will be too late for America. Because a slew of slack jawed celebrity addled mouth breathers feel that keeping tabs on the wrongs our government perpetrates just isn't exciting enough to pay attention to.

The Non-Issue That Won't Go Away

Guess what! Apparently, the most Reverend Jeremiah Wright happened to make some statements that haven't sat well with the corporate media. Naturally, upsetting as these statements are, you'd think they wouldn't want to hear them again, but no, they have to play them ad nauseum because, well, they want you, the television watcher to be as upset as they are.
You see, a member of Reverend Wright's church, one Sen. Barack Obama, is running for president. And since Sen. Obama hasn't made inflammatory statements about staying in Iraq for 100 years, or lied about conditions during a trip to Bosnia twelve years ago, they need to sling some mud on him. Why? For one thing, Obama has threatened to use diplomacy with Iran, instead of maligning an old song by the Regents (or the Beach Boys for those of you unfamiliar with the history of Rock and Roll) or threatening to "obliterate" Iran.
Obama also has the support of Hamas, the winner of the last Palestinian elections, and since the people who don't like diplomacy care even less for democracy, well, that can't be good for them. So, like a burning tire, the words of Rev. Wright are being placed around the neck of Sen. Obama.
The real issues, however, go unanswered, because if the television watchers were told the truth about these issues which affect their day-to-day existence, they may just turn off their televisions, and wouldn't know which hair color was right for them.
Then all the lies would unravel. The war on terror? It doesn't exist. Iraq was never about it and Afghanistan could have been, but it would have ended too soon for anyone to make good money from it. Those economy stimulating tax cuts? They have only increased budget deficits, and weakened our currency, which is why a loaf of bread now costs three dollars. Soon, you'll need a whole wheel barrow full. If you're lucky enough to still have employment.
The people in charge know how to keep you voting against your own interest. Do you want the man who has a pastor who chooses to see America as it is, rather than in the flattering light of the rose colored glasses? Or would rather have the man who wants an undefinable victory in a century of combat and occupation, but wears a flag on his lapel, so you know he's a guy you'd want to have a beer with?

One Picture Is Worth A Thousand Smear Campaigns

This is so funny. The Republicans intend on using Barack Obama as a liability. Where do they live?
Back in the US, President Bush has the lowest approval rating of all. The economy is fucked, the wars in the Middle East are utter failures, strangling our economy even more than the high oil prices, which is another by-product of those wars and the propaganda machine is gearing up for the next.
You see, it doesn't matter if John Hagee backs off his prior homophobic statements, all any Democratic nominee has to do is point out that McCain is no different than Bush, and they should win by a landslide. And if they don't, the Democratically controlled congress should immediately begin an investigation into vote fraud.

The Two Tiered Justice System Works Again (But Only For Those On The Top)

This is what America has become. Bill Clinton commits perjury while president of the US, and leaves office to make millions of dollars; you get in a fight with your boss and get tasered to death by police officers. While Exxon still refuses to pay damages for destroying the Alaskan shoreline, the federal government gang up on Ed and Sylvia Brown for refusing to pay taxes. The system is not for you and I, we merely work the long hours to fund a system that is rigged against us.
Such is the case with Rush Limbaugh. Already caught, doctor shopping to feed his oxycodone addiction, smuggling drugs with a false prescription Rush keeps adding to his list of crimes. Last month, we ran this story about Rush's conspiracy to commit vote fraud, now it seems he wants to add inciting a riot at this summer's Democratic Party convention in Denver to the list of criminal charges he will never be prosecuted for. Rush claims he wasn't trying to start trouble but...........
".....riots in Denver, at the Democratic Convention will see to it we don't elect Democrats. And that's the best damn thing that can happen to this country, as far as I can think," Limbaugh said.

Sure he has the right to free speech, just make sure that if he's in the same movie theater as you that you're seated close to an exit in case this lout decides to yell fire.

Psychic Me (Not Really)

There's an old joke that goes something like this:
Bill: I can tell you the score of the Super Bowl before the game starts.
Ted:Can you? than what is it?
Bill: before the game starts the score is always tied 0-0.

But I can tell you who will be the big winner in today's Pennsylvania primary, even though at this time the polls will still be open for a few more hours.
Democrats hit polls; some voting glitches reported
Early Polling Issue Reported In Green Tree
Casting Confusion with sample Ballots
Tuesday's Election Will be 'Unrecountable, Unverifiable, and Unauditable'
Obama campaign officials tell MSNBC voting machines were failing in some of Philadelphia’s African-American precincts.
Caller to Stephanie's Show Said Some Ballots in Pa Don't Have Obama's Name
If you haven't guessed by now who I think will win big today, let me tell you it won't be Barack Obama. Sen. Clinton needs to win this and win big if she wants to stay in the race and continue destroying Sen. Obama. Her campaign is in debt and running out of money. A big win might draw more dollars dropped in to her war chest. A big win may temporarily quell any call for her to quit. It's New Hampshire all over again.

(picture lifted from Mr. Nasty @American Insurgency again)
Hillary has stated that she will totally obliterate Iran, proving to the military-industrial complex that she's as reckless as Bush when it comes to using America's military might. (While she did state that in reference to Iran attacking Israel, Iran, which has no nuclear weapons, has no desire to attack Israel, which does, no matter what lies the Iran war propaganda machine repeat incessantly). While I hope I am wrong about Pennsylvania, poll numbers have been all over the place in the last week as far as support for each candidate, which may have been a ruse to help disguise the vote fraud.

A Couple Of Mysteries

I was going to do a post about this story, because it piqued my interest. I mean, I can see a person being able to maybe tie their hands and feet, but then how do you put the duct tape over your eyes? Unless you did that first, since good duct tape is hard to rip with out scissors or a knife, but then how could you see well enough to tie your hands and feet? And then, once you're all bound and blindfolded, how would you be able to throw yourself in a lake? What if you headed in the wrong direction? Many puzzling questions with no real answers so...
......I thought it was time for a fluff piece on something I discovered a month or so ago called Retro Jams.
Saturday mornings, my youngest son and I, both being early risers, will get up and scan the television for something to watch, nearly impossible since I don't have cable and the only thing on at that hour is infomercials or NASCAR updates. One time, at the upper end of the UHF spectrum, we did stumble across something we called the whistling channel, since it showed pastoral videos accompanied by whistling.
One morning, after my oldest spent the night at school, we had to get up early to pick him up. When we brought him home, he was very tired (having spent the entire night being awake) so he crawled into bed, while his brother and I watched television, figuring we might as well since we were up.
"Let's watch the whistling channel," my youngest one suggested, so I grabbed the clicker and found that the whistling channel wasn't coming in, or if it was, it wasn't showing the whistling show, so I began to search all the channels I can get with just a set of rabbit ears (and a loop antenna) on my set.
We came across a vintage video of Nancy Sinatra singing "These Boots Are Made For Walking", and I assumed it was an infomercial for some Time_Life collection of greatest-sixties-songs-we-could-get-clearance-rights-to-put-on-a-CD, but immediately after, they showed a Turtles video for "Happy Together", also vintage. But when they showed a clip (obviously aired on some sixties pop music show) of the Who doing "Pinball Wizard", well, we were hooked.
Some of the videos are, well, clips from films. Most of the Zeppelin videos are culled from The Song Remains The Same, the Pink Floyd version of "One Of These Days" looks to be from a concert film from the early seventies. But the selections are broken down into segments based on style of music (funk, rap, classic rock, oldies, punk/new wave) with a Madonna video every hour and a half.
Where this channel originates is a mystery; it is however nationwide, as sometimes during breaks, it will list all the channels and cities where it can be found. A Google search will not provide any fruitful information. And it's not all great (it does play of lot of drum heavy 80's music, for instance)and will often leave you wondering things like "Whatever happened to those guys?"

What Some People Will Do To Win Elections

Somebody's an idiot.
I don't know who, but doesn't it seem strange that John McCain, who sought out the endorsement of John Hagee who has made a career of calling the Roman Catholic church "the great whore", "false cult system" and "the apostate church" yet had no problem with attending the National Catholic Prayer Breakfast.
Is this just another cynical ploy by the Republican party to get people to vote against their own interests by courting both the Catholic and anti-catholic vote? The Pope has criticized the war in Iraq while Hagee feels we should be fighting war with Iran as well. Obviously, McCain hopes that one side, or both, are too stupid to figure out that he can't give them both what they want. At least he can't be accused of flip-flopping, because he doesn't have a position to flip-flop on.

Hillary Channels Rudy

Invoking the spirit of the long dead Giuliani campaign, Sen. Hillary Clinton invoked 9/11 five times in ABC's televised "debate". She used that tragic day in an attempt to tie Obama to it along with his pastor and his remarks following that day that America was to blame for the attacks. The Reverend Wright blamed America because of it's lopsided foreign policy in the Middle east and was not nearly as damning as right wing Reverends Falwell and Robertson who blamed it on America's embrace of gay rights, among other things.
This has led to my formulation of what I like to call "Scannon's Law", a variation on Godwin's law, that a politician, when backed in a corner, will always try to align themselves with the forces of good by invoking 9/11, while aligning their opponent with the forces of evil that "attacked" us that day.

Cui Bono

Suppose George W. Bush stated the Holocaust was good for America. It certainly was good for the Bush family, who laundered money in the US for IG Farben, which made Zyklon B, used by the Nazis at Auschwitz. And the Shoah has been good for people who are looking to exploit it to make a quick buck. But, really, it wasn't good for anyone. And if Bush were to say that the Holocaust was good for America, he would more than likely lose the remaining support he has left in this country.
Binyamin Netanyahu has stated that the 9/11 terror attacks were good for Israel.
"We are benefiting from one thing, and that is the attack on the Twin Towers and Pentagon"
(which is actually two things, but who's counting?)
Wasn't that nice of al-Qaeda, to do something that benefited their sworn Zionist enemies?
Netanyahu then goes on to violate Godwin's Law by comparing Ahmadinejad to Adolf Hitler. Especially after Ahmadinejad voiced doubts about the accepted version of 9/11(which was so good for Israel). Maybe because the US and Israel will use it as an excuse to attack Iran.Either that, or a misinterpreted statement attributed to Ahmadinejad, repeated a thousand times over by the corporate media as part of the ongoing propaganda campaign to gain support for military action against Iran.

Hillary's Other Family

On the way home from work today, the right wing shithead on the radio was ranting about Barack Obama's statement of last week,( which was last week, asshole) trying to milk the dead cow for all it's worth because he knows that all the Republicans have is John McCain, who doesn't know Shi'ite from shinola. It must be embarrassing for these people to be in the same boat as Hillary Clinton.
Sunday, when a reporter asked Hillary when was the last time she attended church she replied
"That is not a relevant question for this debate," Clinton said. "We can answer that some other time. I went to church on Easter, so . . . but that is not what this is about."

Of course, a news report from Easter Sunday had this to say:
Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama took a much-needed rest from their presidential campaigns on Easter Sunday as their tight race for the Democratic nomination looked set to drag on for months....
Clinton took Friday through Sunday off from active campaigning and was scheduled to resume events in Pennsylvania on Monday.

Obama, who campaigned in Oregon on Saturday, was taking a vacation with his family and would not return to active campaigning until Wednesday in North Carolina. A spokesman declined to say where he was spending his vacation.

One place he did not go for Easter was his Chicago church, Trinity United Church of Christ, which sparked controversy for the Illinois senator because of inflammatory sermons made by the pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

The media, which has been so soft on Obama, made it a point to announce he wouldn't be at church while simultaneously reminding people of the last faux-controversy, statements his preacher has made. But it mentions nothing about Hillary attending church.
But if she did, she would be attending services presided over by her spiritual leader, Doug Coe, who has stated:
“Jesus says, ‘You have to put me before other people, and you have to put me before yourself.’ Hitler, that was the demand of the Nazi Party. You have to put the Nazi Party and its objectives in front of your own life and ahead of other people!”

“I’ve seen pictures of young men in the Red Guard of China, a table laid out like a butcher table, they would bring in this young man’s mother and father, lay her on the table with a basket on the end, he would take an axe and cut her head off.”

“They have to put the purposes of the Red Guard ahead of the mother-father-brother-sister—their own life !”

Doug Coe is the leader of the 'Fellowship', or perhaps more ominously, 'the Family', a network of sex-segregated cells of political, business, and military leaders dedicated to “spiritual war” on behalf of Christ, many of them recruited at the Fellowship’s only public event, the annual National Prayer Breakfast. (Aside from the breakfast, the group has “made a fetish of being invisible,” former Republican Senator William Armstrong has said.) The Fellowship believes that the elite win power by the will of God, who uses them for his purposes. Its mission is to help the powerful understand their role in God’s plan This from someone who called Obama an elitist? perhaps, he is not "elite" enough?
The whole idea of a secretive cult calling themselves 'the Family' conjures up images of Charles Manson and Co., apocalyptic visions of 'chosen people', doing "God's will" should scare the crap out of anyone who isn't blissed out on belladonna. And how a church of the elite isn't relevant to a member of said church who called someone else an elitist is anyone's guess.

Invasion of The Obama Bashers

While senators McCain and Clinton act like pod people from Invasion of the Body Snatchers, shrilly screeching because Obama dared to speak a little truth (Sen. Clinton coming out in favor of guns a position polar opposite to the one she held back when she was First Lady appealing for gun control. Will she change her position on the Colombian Trade Agreement once she gets elected president? Let's hope we don't find out), Rep. John Yarmuth (D-KY) was acting like a true progressive, linking the US recession to the Iraq war.

Bitter? Damn Straight!

Barack Obama's speech about 'bitter Americans' turning to God, guns or antipathy has resonated with both the Clinton and McCain campaigns who both seized the opportunity to label Obama as elitist, which, coming from a couple of fucking millionaires is as about as cynical as it gets. It also proved that not only are the Clinton and McCain people out of touch with the problems facing American citizens, it also shows there is really no difference between McCain and Clinton.
What do working people, not only in PA, but in the rest of the country have to be bitter about?
Four years ago, gas prices were fixed at around $1.20 a gallon. Ten dollars for gas would fill me up for the week. Today, that same ten dollars doesn't even get me half a tank in a car with a smaller tank and engine, and only gets me to work and back twice, with just enough to make it back to work one more time. I should be happy about that?
Four years ago, thirty dollars was enough groceries for me for a week, with enough food for during the week, plus on the weekends (and Wednesdays) when my children stay with me. I used to be able to feed my kids breakfast cereal on the weekends, now I can't even afford to buy a box to eat during the time they're at their mothers, because milk has to be figured in, and the price of that has gone through the roof as well. (As a side note, I will concede that the kids are better off without breakfast cereals and milk, both being not very healthy, and full of additives and rBGH)
In the last three years, my rent has gone up 14%, electricity costs more, and even phone rates have risen as well. While I used to be able to afford DSL, I now use Dial-in-for-free, which gets me on the internet, but is slower than a Bush governmental response to a natural disaster.
My taxes have gone up, and yet, I get nothing from it. The roads I drive on are crumbling under my wheels. Sure, I vote in elections, but my political influence is nil, since I cannot afford to donate thousands to any campaign. What do I get from candidates? Empty rhetoric such as
"If we start acting like Americans," Clinton continued, "and role up our sleeves we can make sure that America's best years are ahead of us."

What the fuck is that supposed to mean? I'm already working full time, now you fucking multi-millionaires want me to work more? Fuck you! That's why we have public servants, to act in the public good and do what's best for all Americans. Don't ask me to sacrifice any more because I don't have anything left to give to you blood suckers!!!!!!!!!(As you have probably sensed by now, I have turned to antipathy rather than God or guns, which is probably best for everyone)What the fuck are you willing to sacrifice?
As I said earlier, both Clinton and McCain have seized upon this truism as a way to distract the media from their favorite talking points, Clinton's continual lies and McCain's complete incompetence ( mentally, that is) when it comes to the facts. Fuck them both. Perhaps these two live in a dream world where if you hum loudly enough and repeat "It's alright, it's alright" enough times then things will be all better. Sure and click them ruby slippers together and maybe the good witch will take you home to Kansas, but guess what, Toto? We're not in fucking Kansas anymore!!!

Not Again!

Along with the financial burden of rising gas prices, rising food prices, increased inflation (due to the falling dollar) and the stock market dropping 256 points, now President Bush feels that we should feel that the Iraq war is a burden worth bearing. Funny, none of his family, or his cronies families are suffering, or serving overseas for that matter, but hey, the rest of us can shoulder that burden. Thank you!
But now, along with these burdens, get ready room on your shoulder for yet another. Dick Cheney feels we should start another war. Already, the propaganda has begun. Photos of "alleged" missile sites are being circulated,"unidentified" speed boats approaching naval patrol boats in the Gulf are being identified as Iranian by the corporate media propaganda machine and the neocons are using Gen. Petraeus's hearing as an excuse to attack Iran.
In my estimation, we will see a continuation of the anti-Iranian propaganda in the corporate media, a la the Iraq invasion. Smart people won't fall for it, but most of the idiot television watchers, with their shortened attention spans will eat it up with a side of citrus teriyaki wings and a Diet Pepsi Max to wash it down. At some point in time, after the Democratic candidacy is decided, an attack will begin, just in time to help John McCain sweep the election, riding a wave of renewed patriotism and rigged voting machines.

You Can't Tell Some People Anything Because They Believe What They Want To

Facts don't matter to some people. When they've made up their mind what to believe, no hard examination of the facts will sway them.
John McCain believes that al-Qaeda is not necessarily Sunni.
"I believe that al-Qaeda does a lot of things," John McCain said in an interview on Fox News........

Sure. they get together and have quilting bees and ice cream socials and picnics in the desert in an effort to bring understanding between the two warring factions of the Muslim religion.
McCain claims to know the situation on the ground because he's been to Iraq eight times, but his visits out side the Green Zone have been accompanied by 100 American soldiers, with three Blackhawk helicopters, and two Apache gunships overhead. I'm sure that gave him an opportunity to assess the situation on the ground. Either that, or he's full of beans, jellybeans.

The Return Of The Superlieberweasel

Back in 2006, before the hotly contested Connecticut Democratic Senate primary, when Ned Lamont was getting set to whip Joe Lieberman's tail, Lieberman's website crashed, which Lieberman blamed o the Lamont campaign. Nope.
Well, as it turns out, the Liberman campaign was to blame for crashing it's own website, according to an FBI probe into the matter. It doesn't get any more weaselly than orchestrating a false flag operation against yourself than blaming it on your opposition. It's something like crashing a jet airliner into a skyscraper you already have rigged with thermite charges to blame on someone who happens to be in a country you've been planning to invade to build a pipeline through.
So if we're going to play the "guilt-by-association" game, and hold Sen. Obama responsible for everything his pastor has said (no matter how true), then shouldn't we hold John McCain responsible for this fraudulent crime perpetrated by his shadow Joe Lieberman? At least Lieberweasel isn't a democrat anymore.

Another Senior Moment For Senator McCain

Imagine John McCain as president, sticking his head out the oval office window to yell at all those secret service "kids" to "get the fuck off my lawn!"
At today's Senate Armed Services committee meeting, Old Man McCain had another senior moment where he confused the Sunni with the Shi'a again. And remember, foreign policy is his strong suit.

He Certainly Needs Protection

As vice-president, Dick Cheney receives secret service protection, which usually expires once he leaves office. However, Dick Cheney could keep his security detail, another perk at taxpayer's expense. We are being told because we have a "sworn enemy" who has "vowed to killl the president and vice-president", however, the truth of the matter is-Dick Cheney is afraid of the American people.
His recent remarks concerning the citizen's opposition to the war in Iraq ("So?") and his lack of concern for the over 4000 soldiers he has sent to their deaths in an illegal war ("They volunteered") have resonated as arrogant and unfeeling with the American people, and will have him go down in history as the most hated VP in the history of the US.
Regardless of the reason, it has been Cheney's actions that have generated the animosity towards him, of course, Republicans being the hypocrites they are and personal responsibility is for poor people,we will once again be forced to waste money that could be better spent somewhere else to protect this paranoiac from the responsibilities of his own actions.
But, unless there is action from congress, Cheney's protection will only be extended for six months. Let's just hope his health care isn't.

Rest In Peace: Charlton Heston

There's a scene in Bowling For Columbine where Charlton Heston, after being blindsided by Michael Moore, turns from being a robust gun rights supporter into a frail old man as he walks away from the camera. You almost felt sorry for him. It's not as if he was doing anything wrong,he just felt that responsible gun owners shouldn't be punished for the actions of the irresponsible anymore than auto owners shouldn't be punished for the actions of drunk drivers or responsible marijuana users should be punished for those who keep shows like Family Guy on the air.
Charlton Heston marched with Martin Luther King during a civil rights march in Washington DC in 1963, but is perhaps better remembered for his roles in his science fiction trilogy: Col. Taylor in Planet of the Apes ("You maniacs!"); Col. Robert Neville in The Omega Man ( recently remade starring Will Smith as I Am Legend); and detective Robert Thorn in Soylent Green ("It's people!"). Okay, maybe more people will remember him for his Oscar-winning role as Judah Ben-Hur, but around here, it's his over-the-top acting that we appreciate, not his increasingly right wing political stances he took in his later years (We attribute that to the onset of Alzheimer's disease).

Check Your Calendar, Know Your History

In a question and answer period on a campaign stop, Hillary Clinton stated:
“I started criticizing the war in Iraq before he did. So, I’m well aware that his entire campaign is premised on a speech he gave in 2002 and I give him credit for making that speech. But that was not a decision.”

In 2002, the war had not yet begun. Millions of Americans were opposed to it then, but Senator Clinton voted for it. How can that be considered criticizing the war before Senator Obama?
This is the problem I have with Clinton, her whole campaign has been a slew of misstatements. How can you trust her to do anything she is promising when she keeps making these statements that when closely examined, prove to be entirely false?
While I would prefer to have Nader in the White House, if we are to have a democrat, why have one who's going to be a constant target of the right wing noise machine?

Douglas Feith Is Full Of Crap

So now we know. Douglas Feith is a chickenshit, or else just full of crap. In a segment to be aired on 60 Minutes, he claims that we invaded Iraq because we believed they were going to attack us.
Bullshit.
Feith, as co-author of A Clean Break: A New Strategy For Securing The Realm, called for removing Saddam Hussein in 1996, not because he was going to attack the United States, but because it would be good for Israel. So when Donald Rumsfeld became Secretary of Defense in 2000 he specifically hired Feith to cherry pick and stove pipe intelligence against Iraq, before there ever was a 9/11. So while the reasons given now and then, the war was launched to liberate the Iraqi people( yes, they are much freer now), destroy Iraq's weapons of mass destruction (which never existed, except in the paranoid minds of brainwashed right wing television watchers)(WMD) and to protect the United States( from a country we were already containing with no-fly zones and economic sanctions), the real reason is to protect Israel.
If there were such a thing as justice in this universe, people like Douglas Feith, and all the other neocons who lied us into the war in Iraq would be prosecuted for their crimes. Instead, they'll go on to a six-figure salary at some think-tank while the rest of us suffer under $4.00 a gallon gas, runaway inflation and all the other side effects Feith's decision to lie to the American people have caused. What a shithead!

Not Feeling Bloggy Today...........

............so here's a goofy picture of John McCain.
